After buying a bunch of new shirts I found the cuffs were very tight. I hate having a watch beyond the cuff so it limits what I wear to work. Before anyone points out to change the shirts, all seem to be the same and at over £1000 the shirts are staying. Im new to the site however I’m seeing a lot of divers and chunkier watches how about slim dress/office watches? No more than 7mm high, can be quarts but I would be interested in mechanical variation. I’m not a fan of Bauhaus style watches so Nomos is out. The Hamilton Jazzmaster is interesting(ish). The Citizen stiletto is ok the ‘One’ is technically off the charts but Im not a fan of the looks. Thoughts?

Mido Baroncelli heritage, 7.3 mm automatic
Junghans Driver, 7.3mm manual wound
Casio A700, 6mm quartz (Sorry I couldn't resist, just get a Cartier Tank instead)
A cheaper, but much more boring, alternative is to move the cuff button half an inch👍

Hey you're blocking a great excuse for a watch purchase! 😜

Yes I know I’m a party pooper.
I think those ugly Bauhaus type watches tend to be somwhat slim, but I think the real culprit is diameter.
But to address both is the exquisitley sized Casio MQ-24D-7E
34.9mm dia., 7.8mm thick, 38.8 lug to lug.

In my collection the thinnest one is the Titan Edge which I sourced from India...I don't know whether it has an international reach...https://www.watchcrunch.com/mgdaniel/posts/the-thinnest-quartz-15045
Epos 3408. 5.9mm Swiss made peseux 7001 handwound movement. Very well finished for the price.
I don't own one tho! Just saying.
Been looking at it online for a while since CW stopped making their version of this.
There are limitless vintage options. For the same money you could get one for every day of the week. The 1960's seem to hit the mark for slimness. Both of these watches, and the Hamilton that I am wearing today, are under 8mm and are 50% acrylic crystal.
The Cartier Tank Large is 7.65 mm thick and is an auto winding mechanical classic.
The Tank Must is a 1 mm slimmer quartz.

I don’t know a lot about EPOS however from a quick glance this is a very interesting watchmaker, many thanks for the tip, I will certainly check them out.
Since the Seiko tank isn't all that easily to get hold of these days, try the IBSO tank. It has a Seiko movement anyway, is cheaper (£22), 7.4mm thick.
Just bought a refurbished Seiko tank off Ebay for £25, the seller is in India but has a bunch of them with different coloured dials, and it arrived weeks earlier than the estimated delivery date. Model number SO325714. Just under 6.5mm.
Casio Edifice EFR-S108D is under 100 and is pretty sound for that...
Quartz. Only 8mm.
The bracelet is fairly "jingly-jangly" but it has a Sapphire crystal and a rather lovely textured dial.
@benswatchclub likes it too. https://youtu.be/5yqjULfrd3A
A litte bit beyond your width expectation : 8.2 mm x 39.5
Slim d'Hermès in blue.
I know that most enthusiasts will dismiss it as a fashion watch, but in the days where I needed to wear a watch under a tight cuff, I used to wear this Movada Museum watch. At only 5.6 mm thick, it slipped under the tightest of cuffs, and I personally love the minimalist design.
A lot of fantastic suggestion, some are on my favourites list already and some I hadn’t considered as they fly under the radar. Definitely a great discussion so thank you all for your input 👍
Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra
This is a stunning achievemen. From a so called fashion brand they seem to be combining high fashion (Cartier) and high horology, it’s a rare combination.
Hamilton Ventura Quartz - not that thin, but totally badass
Makes me want to crack out my Elvis impression (my sons middle nam is Elvis)
break down and get a DW
The SACM 171.. 33.4mm diameter and 5.3mm thin. Its quite a lovely dress watch especially for those with smaller wrists..

Thinness is considered a complication in most cases. Piaget was the marque in sophisticated thin horology until rather recently with Bulgari & Richard Mille taking over the title

Absolutely, i was very surprised when they released this watch as I don’t think anyone expected this level of horology from them.
I second the Bvlgari Octo Finnisimo ... so slim, idle, yet sophisticated and present.

Even though Bulgari is considered a jewelry house, they’ve always had their finger in fine horology since the 30’s. Think of them as a Roman cartier. As a side note Bulgari ownes Daniel Roth & Gerald Genta brands
My late entry: arrived today ;) Frederique Constant FC-306G4S6, automatic movement, crazy AR coating and just 8.3mm
