D) Get off your high horse, compliment them on their watch and have a nice and civilized chat about it :-)
How is it being on a high horse if we are challenging criminality? And that’s my point. Buy your superclone if you want it, I couldn’t care less. But is it appropriate to post it on here and not expect to be challenged about it?

How’d you get from clones to ‘challenging criminality’? Like @foghorn said, branded fakes are indeed not OK, but other than that, let everyone wear their clones, fakes, homages and whatnot in peace.
Some NWA and posts have reps hit from time to time. I usually scroll by, but have absolutely been guilty of a low key question hinting at the authenticity, especially when they are attempting to flex. It is always easiest to scroll by.

If you can spot a super clone from a few pictures on here your better than me. Custom and altered originals are quite common and in the UK buying counterfeit goods is not illegal.
Jeez!! More rules!! Rules rules rules… why are posts today about do’s and don’t’ wtf!! Who that F@ck cares!! Post something interesting !! Ok I can get banned for this .. shit I should just muted this post.!!
There are branded fakes that are unmistakeable. Like a Breitling chrono with subdials for day, date and 24hrs rather than hour,minute and seconds or an Omega with the wrong font and an open heart dial on a watch with Speedmaster on the dial. I agree that many fakes are only distinguishible by hands on inspection and a look at the movement.
But anyone showing an obvious fake that leaves no doubt should be called out.
Obvious branded fakes have no place on a watch forum. Most don't even allow discussion of fakes.

You mean you would call out a stranger at a bar for wearing a counterfeit or do you mean a public figure or a cruncher? I am not following the extent to which you would do so.

Ichi — you need to get that glowforge buddy. Calms the nerves!
What if you say something and it was a present from his wife and he didn't know. Awkward right. I was taught to mind your own business. Besides what's wrong with saying nice watch and moving on. It's his wrist after all.
The only people who should be called out are those who call out other people’s business. If I tell someone they’re wearing a fake they should be able to call my mother ugly because I started it and comeuppance is not fair.

Branded fakes are the only ones that warrant a call out.
To each his own for the rest.
Branded fakes are the worst, watches and otherwise.

I agree. And it is the Branded I am talking about.

How could you even be sure? I can't imagine a situation where I would think it was my place to accuse someone of having a fake watch. Then what?

Super clones are fooling ADs with the watch in their hand! How would we tell from a jpeg?
I wouldn't know a super clone if you hit me over the head with it.

All I gotta say about this thread is…yikes…
I think that I want to expand this idea. I want to call out:
Wearers of fakes;
Wearers of clomages;
Wearers of watches who do not know what a clomage is and why it should be called out;
Wearers of homages;
Wearers of watches that, while not strictly homages, are really close in design;
Wearers of divers on leather straps;
Wearers of watches that are too large;
Wearers of watches that are too small;
Wearers of pilot watches who do not fly;
Wearers of dive watches that do not dive;
Wearers of field watches who wear them indoors;
Wearers of GMTs who do not travel;
Wearers of moon phases who do not follow a lunar calendar;
Wearers of watches with date complications;
Wearers of watches without date complications;
Wearers of Rolex or any brand that I cannot easily obtain or afford;
Wearers of fashion watches;
Wearers who look down on wearers of fashion watches;
Wearers of quartz watches;
Wearers of mechanical watches;
Wearers of anything bio-ceramic;
Wearers of NATO straps;
People who call out wearers of watches.
Did I miss anything? @Ichibunz @IceCreamMan @Mr.Dee.Bater
Greg, you just shut down 90% of all watch forum posts. :-)
C’mon!! Greg!! This should have been #1
Wearer of Apple Watches that doesn't wear Blue Suits!!
🥳🍻
Those aren't watches man...they are just guv'ment tracking devices for the sheeple.

Ichi — you need to get that glowforge buddy. Calms the nerves!
Post deleted.
I just lean over and say quietly, "I hope you didn't pay much for that because it is a fake."
Responses have always been that it was either a gift that they knew was a fake or that they bought it for cheap knowing was a fake.

Now all I want to do is figure out a way to get called out for every single one of these..... Every. Single. One. 🤪🤏🏻😆
Sadly it'll cost too much to get that @Aurelian call out badge.
For completionist sake. 😂
Let people enjoy what they want. Doesn't hurt you to know it's a fake

This thread's visual metaphor:
Had a casio as a kid but the first watch I bought was a invicta and still have it 😂
