What’s your smallest vs largest wearing watch?

And how much of a difference is there between the two? For me my largest is my Baume Mercier capeland chrono. At 42mm it’s technically the same size as my speedy pro, but the Capeland wears more like 44mm on wrist. My smallest is the sarb035. I have a 7.25” wrist and feel like I can pull off 38mm to 42mm, with anything outside that band feels either too big or too small.

Smallest is a re-issue by Hamilton of it's iconic Piping Rock from 1928. True to the original at 29mmx41mm

Image

Largest is probably another re-issue of another icon-the Seiko "Arnie" at a whopping 47.8 mm.

I’ve never seen that Hamilton reissue before, it’s really cool

I’ve posted this couple before… the 34mm Bulova Accutron Spaceview and the 47.8mm Seiko Arnie.

Came out,I believe, in the mid 90's.

My smallest would be my vintage Benrus Wrtistalarm at 34mm, and my largest would be my Hamilton Khaki Pilot at 46mm.  Neither of these see much wrist time, in part because of the size.

Of the watches I wear fairly regularly, the smallest would be my OP36 and the largest would be my Norqain Adventure Sport Chrono at 44mm.

Since most of my watches are in the 39-42mm range, the OP36 always seems a bit smallish when I first put it in, especially if Its just after having worn something on the larger side. After a few hours the size feels just right, and then when I change into any other watch, that other watch suddenly feels larger than it normally does. I also find that it depends on how its being viewed - at certain angles, the width of the bracelet seems to overpower it and make it look too small, but when viewed straight on, it feels "right".

interesting, thanks. I debated the BB36 but ultimately went with the 41. Now I'm wondering if I should have went with the 36 lol. The OP looks great on your wrist by the way.

I see a lot of answers that would be similar to my own, so I thought I would do something a little different and give my greatest differences by brand.

Seiko SNKL23-37.8mm and Seiko SNJ025-47.8mm 10mm difference.

Timex Marlin Hand-wind-34mm and Timex Expedition Gallatin-45mm 11mm difference.

Casio A100 Pac Man-33mm and Casio Pro Trek PRW2500-50mm 17mm difference.

😊

Love that polerouter!

My smallest wearing one... Guess it's this 28mm Eterna from 1943:

Image

The largest - this 43mm Citizen Promaster Sky. Takes a lot of real estate on the wrist, and it's heavy. Really heavy.

·

44 mm Citizen World Time is the largest. I have several vintage 36 mm cases - Seiko62mas to Rolex and AP14790. I think honestly 42 mm should be my max given my 6.25 in wrist size

My smallest is a 1961 Omega Seamaster at 35mm

Between my smallest and largest are 9mm. The smallest is a Dugena from 1981/1982 with 33mm that I got from my Grandpa. The largest is a Speedmaster Pro 3861 with its 42mm, I owned before the 1861 which wore larger.

It heavily depends on the watch how it wears, the diameter is not that important. I find both sizes fits me, the Speedmaster is a sports watch and wear a lot smaller. As a sports watch it would look awkward if it were tiny. Additionally, it is not blingy/flashy, so it is not shouting: look I am here. On the other hand the Dugena is quite small, however it was well sized when it came out. It is full gold including the dial, if it were larger it would be to much :)

My smallest  watch is the Casio Collection MQ-24 (c. £8 from Amazon). I tiny, black watch, with a very clear face and it keeps near perfect time. It is 35mm. This model is reputed to be worn by the Pope! This watch, understandably wears small on the wrist.

Stock photo

My largest watch is my G-Shock Casioak which is c. 44-45mm. C. £80-100. This watch looks much smaller on the wrist.

the SBGW275 at 37mm and the PloProf at about 2 kilometers, lol

Image
·

Largest is Seiko Tuna at 46mm. The short lug-to-lug means this is actually wearable on a 7" wrist. The smallest is again a Seiko, my restored 7009-3100 at 35mm.

·

Collection spans between a 34 mm Swatch ISIKHATHI and the gold-standard 42 mm Speedmaster pro.

·

Current swing is 36-39mm (Lorier). Widest was 34-42mm (Girard-Perregaux Classique and Speedy Pro).

·

30mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual

Image

and… I’m getting a 50mm Prospex next week that’ll be my biggest.  Ill post pic when it arrives.  It’ll look crazy on my tiny wrists 😂

·

My smallest is a Bremont Solo 37 and the largest is my Panerai Luminor Pam 093 at 44mm.
