I have a white and a seaweed. They are both great. The green is pretty subtle and often looks black in dim light, which actually adds to its versatility imo. Lots of people gripe about the bracelet design. It looks a little dated, but since most of it is brushed and the polished parts are very small, it is very scratch-tolerant. The clasp has on-the fly adjustment which I use every day.

I think you are correct: a very nicely executed tool watch. However, non-watch people read them as symbols of wealth -- real or otherwise.
