Are new Rolex mod wait times starting to decrease?

Jumping off another conversation where someone was asking if wait times for various models across lineup have been improving in the past 12 months or so. I am not sure since I don't have that kind of data, but if you received YOUR piece at retail from your local AD within the past calendar year, please share which model and how many months you waited before you 'got the call'

Watches like Pepsi GMTs and panda Daytonas dont need to chime in since we know those still take forever and a half 👍🏽

Here's mine: Yachtmaster 40mm Rhodium dial = 13 months

Sub, no date, about 9 months.

My AD says a lot of people are passing on watches they would otherwise have bought. So I would think wait times are decreasing.

·

No date Sub. 10 months.

I can believe that, be interesting to see what factors play into that (decreasing brand interest, worsening financial situations, etc)

Polar explorer II. 2.5 years and counting. I stopped going in about a month ago.

Better? No. Yachmasters, Explorers, and DJs can be had all day long if one looks enough. They were also the easiest models to get during the pandemic (IE no wait if you had a relationship), they simply have less takers now, so they seem more available.

Explorer 40: 5mo. A friend of mine just got the destro GMT Master II (VTNR) in only 3mo!

What color is 'Destro' supposed to be? Are you referring to the GI Joe character?

·

I think wait times are coming down. I've seen sooo many people getting their Rolex and many their first

Destro is Italian for ‘right’. The watch community’s word for watches for left-handed people, designed to be worn on the right wrist. So the crown is on the left, as is the date in this case. This watch has a cool green and black bezel.

Air King 3 weeks before I got the call

Definitely financial situations. Hundreds of thousands of tech workers have beenakr off in the last few months and those types usually got paid a lot and spent their money fast.

Candy Pink OP36. Two and a half years.

If I didn’t pick it up immediately after the call, I would have died of natural causes, i.e. murdered by wife.

I lucked out with my 40mm Explorer 1. I got it 3 days after registering my interest while on a trip to Vegas in December. The stars aligned. Apparently 3 people declined the watch before the called me.

Put my name for a Yacht-Master 40mm blue dial on 3 AD's around my area. One called me after 227 days so I bought it from them last December. The other two have yet to contact me and it's almost been three months after I bought mine. Wait times are probably getting shorter but it's still a crapshoot at this point. Just depends what gets sent to the ADs and what people want.

Air King, 8 month wait with a small independ AD with purchase history.

I was also offered a blue dial YM 40mm during my wait but passed on it because I was set on the Rhodium dial

Both gorgeous, I just preferred the blue dial. Here's some eye candy to get you by while you wait. 😉

I think you misunderstood, I already have mine, hence the wrist shot

LOL! Didn't realize you were the OP. 😂 🙌

Submariner 3 months, GMT Master II BLNR 6 months. So in one year I got these two watches. Literally luck and being in the right place at the right time. The Rolex AD and allocation experience varies wildly from customer to customer, even at the same AD I would suggest.
