If you could only have one watch....

So the rules of the game:

  • Any watch in the world, and it would be given to you, so the price does not matter.
  • You have to wear it for every occasion.
  • You can not sell it.
  • If someone stole it or it broke, it would be replaced/services.

If all that was true, what watch would you pick?

I guess I will start...

No matter if you are wearing shorts and a t-shirt, or getting married. this watch works. It also has quick-release bands, so you can change the look pretty quickly. The design is over 100 years old, so I will die before it goes out of style.

Pretty much the perfect one-watch collection.

This classic would be the one for me. On the bracelet with a t-shirt and throw it on leather if you are wearing a suit.

·

Rolex Explorer 1016.

Meanwhile I will have to settle with this one... :(

I was thinking this or the nautilus. But what will it look like in 25 years? We might have moved on to something so different, that this really isn't the style anymore. Same with dive watches. I suspect both this and dive watches will still be what we want in 25 years, but who knows.

Second that

Rolex 16710 Pepsi, oyster bracelet. Cliché I know, but a classic that suits multiple occasions.

·

Either the Rolex Batman or the Tudor Pepsi (what can I say I love the GMT aesthetic)

·

Route1:  Rolex Submariner, black.

·

This is a fiendish question. The more you think about it the harder it gets!

I thought it’d be easy and I thought I knew the watch I would choose, but just one for everything 🤯

·

For a true everyday forever, it would be my Grand Seiko Winter, the titanium is lightweight comfortable and attractive. The watch is very accurate and I’m a bit OCD on having the correct time.

It’s crazy to think my GS spring drive is more accurate then my G-Shock

platinum daydate w/ice blue dial.

Just one? #rolex Explorer.

Green dial Aqua Terra for me and I’d be done I think….

Lange Dateograph triple split, preferably in white gold or platinum.

This is my favorite watch in the world... however with the rule being "you need to wear it all the time", means it might not fit everywhere.

·

Darn thats a real tough one,so many to choose from. Now I'm not a big fan of Swiss luxury watches I think they are over priced and over hyped but one has always caught my eye and I could happily use it as my only watch for everthing....Tudor black flag for me.

Explorer for me

I’m in an office most of the time, so I could easily justify this as my EDC.

Yea, the last time I wore long pants, was a few years ago, so not a lot of situations in my life where it would fit. I would still love to own one however! :)

·

Polar 16570, which I often kick myself for not buying when they were B&P for $3k...  Oh well.  😀. Maybe people will lose interest in watches and we'll go back to 2010 pricing.  I can dream, right?

I love this answer... I just started my watch collection a few years ago and I currently have a Rolex Batman and a Tudor Pepsi... you have good style, my friend!

·

Rolex 116710LN.  Modern and water resistant enough to daily.  Subdued enough to wear with a suit.  Gmt function for travel.  Id personally go with an older Coke GMT or McQueen expII but the 116710Ln would be a perfect daily.

·

Since I'm a bigger guy and it's been my grail watch for at least ten years I'd probably go for the 39 mm Explorer I :)

Image

... or maybe I'd choose the 39 mm oyster perpetual...🤔

Everything about that GS is mind-blowing. Those macro shots of the finishing on the hands compared to Patek etc just floored me.

Easy (and I’ve said this many times before)
