I, too, had a Pro Diver (since it looks like a Submariner) and the clasp / bracelet broke within 5-6 months.  I never went back to Invicta since the quality from my experience wasn't what I was looking for. Glad to hear other people have had better experiences, but I don't think I'm returning to them for watches.

commented on How useful is a GMT, really? ·

I live in Chicago and have family in Chicago.  So I do not NEED to track another time zone by any means.  BUT - the jumping hour hand could not be more useful when I'm on vacation in Florida or California, etc. This functionality is amazing for a quick change of the local time.  I usually keep my GMT hand on London time simply for admiration.  I do, however, use the bi-directional bezel quite a lot when cooking or when I've parked on the busy streets of Chicago.
So - am I flying a plane across 5 time zones and do I need to track 2 zones at once?
No, but I have sincerely enjoyed having a GMT on hand for the past few years (I own 2... a Tudor GMT and Rolex GMT Master II).

I would highly recommend buying from a AD that sells others brands and Jewelry rather than dealing with a Rolex Boutique.  A few things:
1.) I live in Chicago, IL and some ADs downtown make you put down a deposit in order to even be on the list - kind of crazy in my opinion since you will have to wait multiple years in most cases
2.) A short story: I put my name on a list for a Rolex GMT Master II last June (2021) and was quoted 2+ years at a small-town AD in my hometown, about 1 hour away from Chicago.  The salesperson found out I was getting married in December (2021), made an appeal to his entire team (owner and coworkers) and then got in touch with my now wife so she could gift me this watch for our wedding.  I absolutely love this AD for going the extra mile and making such a gesture.  My suggestion is for anyone serious about buying a Rolex from an AD = Find a small-town AD and I think you will have better luck.

I think a Chronograph might be your next acquisition! I'd look at Speedy (or speedy reduced) as well as Longines or IWC... Looks like you could use a Chrono or field-inspired watch to your collection.  I think either of these could be a great addition to what you already have.

When I first got into watches, I didn't get the Royal Oak (AP) and the Nautilus (Patek).... as well as (and I know this may stir the pot) the Omega Speedmaster.  I just didn't get the hype and still don't know if I love the Omega brand as a whole.... but over the years, I am much, much more of a fan of the Royal Oak and the Speedy.... I'm still working on being a fan of the the Nautilus!

commented on One $10k Watch -OR- Four $2.5k Watches? ·

haha love it - I recently got a GMT Master II which will suffice as a "1 watch" for the foreseeable furture... but if I had to spend $10k across 4 watches I might look at Tudor Heritage Ranger, Longines Master Collection Chronograph, some type of IWC and a Jaeger-LeCoultre.  I think these 4 brands would do the trick for me!

What would you pick? Meaning, which Dress, Chronograph, and diver would you choose for about $3.3k each? I like where your heads at - so I'm just curious!
