The first two arcs are the hour. The circle is around the 8 so it’s the 8 o’clock hour. Outer arcs are the minutes. Circle is around the 45 so it was 8:45. Really easy to read once u get used to it.

Regardless of who might be pushing what. I am am going to buy what I like. I just look at the influencers/watch media to see what’s out there and learn about watch’s I may have never seen before.
