GMT vs World timer

Hi Crunchers. Curious; which multiple time zone watch do you prefer? For me it’s the traveler GMT.

A caller GMT because I'm not traveling a lot across multiple time zones frequently but I need to easily adjust the time in other parts of the world for online meetings.

I have a ‘Caller’ and ‘Traveller’ in my collection. I consider them to be relatively equal, once set. Yes, being able to quick set the hour is a nice feature. But once set they are an equal experience to read and use. An Omega AquaTerra Worldtimer is in contention to eventually be added when I re-open my collection to new acquisitions. Some world timers seem a bit busy, too much so, for me.

Caller with a external adjustable 24 hour bezel is pretty much functionally equivalent to a traveller, and is much easier to use as a solar compass as well. A traveller gmt would be cool to own though.

Luv me a traveler GMT, simple as.

I‘d go for a caller because I don’t travel that often to set the time over and over, but I really need a quick set date function, which a Traveller doesn’t feature.

For traveling, the traveler's GMT makes good sense but for mostly stay-at-homers, such as I, the caller's GMT makes the most sense. Easy to use and set, especially if not worn everyday.

You should read the comments on this thread, same topic discussion with lots of valid points for both, caller and traveller GMTs

I have both but with a bigger collection of watches than I expected (and 3+ GMTs/ + because one is likely incoming), I also prefer the caller GMT because setting the date is far less a chore when you go to pick it up and wear it.

I looked and thought on it for several years - and for me a Worldtimer is what I actually need. I need - want- a watch I can look at and know the time in Berlin, Tokyo, or Honolulu. Being able to keep UTC, home, and/or local time is not as useful, but there some great looking GMT watches in terms of aesthetics. I ended up going the Junghans Worldtimer in rose gold, as the function would serve me at work in a office/business environment.

Why not all three?

A traveler GMT (or even caller, actually) with an adjustable bezel is the easiest for this. Just turn the bezel, and you don't have to pull out the crown at all. Plus, remembering the 12 o'clock value on the bezel helps you remember the time zones of multiple overseas parties.

D. A 12 hour bezel.

If it needs to be set regularly then caller, if it doesn't need to be set regularly then traveller.
