You Made Me Love You (I didn't want to do it)

I remember when Casios came out, and I remember thinking they were the ugliest things that had ever existed. Fast forward to six or so years ago when...

Not Madly Me-- why is liking what we like so important?

My mother had this phrase, generally applied to clothes that my father had chosen for her: "not madly me." It was always interesting to me that what w...

What did I miss? Watches as therapy, once again

Haven't been on here for a minute, or 6000 of them. My old dog had a health crisis: a month of cellulitis on his lovely old mug, which then morphed in...

What we do for love. Your child has good taste, and a beautiful little face ❤

That's the worst insult since someone asked my if I was from Lake Forest. (sorry, North Shore folks-- I love you but am not of you). Ok, Too-Smarty-Smart: I do live here as of 2021, but the more I see of NM type ladies, the more I pray that I can move on some day without having turned into one. That's harsh, and I do know some lovely and sweet people here. But the daily rate of woo and covert narcissism combined seems rather high.

Sad for me, too, but all things pass and I am trying to be present in my little old man's long final journey with love and good grace. Emphasis on "trying." OMG, would I love to appear at some WCer's abode and play wrist-dress-up for as long as they'll have me. Consider yourself warned.

You can have the French word: you're full-on paumé

Been doing some of that, but got disenchanted quickly due to my minimalism and all the annoying baggage that tags along with that.

Since I have an airport PU next month, I'm forcing my friend into our two ADs. Also, I am not telling him beforehand. Bwahahahahahahahaha

I've been away, so forgive long response time, but plenty of these in likely good to great condition second-hand in all the usual places (Chrono, etc). I of course have now fallen out of love again. That's watch collecting for ya.

Thanks! Me, too...fingers crossed this halcyon time lasts a bit, but ya know--life 🙄

Awww, thanks! I liked making virtual friends here, and didn't want to be ghost-y. Just. Could. Not. Deal.

Even at the best of times, as you might have gleaned by now, I can get disenchanted with the little guys. Which always seems to rebound to my own identity or values, somehow...which means, my friend, MORE NAVAL GAZING.

So stand by, when you have a chance after your great and happy event. Congratulations on fille number three and best wishes for a safe and happy delivery day! TTyl :)
