For me, it is a movement rather than a style. Solar-powered watches have become my go to watches anymore. Dive, field, pilot, dress, chronograph, or digital are all acceptable, as long as they are solar-powered. 😁
My preferred category are divers or dive style watches. My Missus thinks ally watch look the same. But I still enjoy field and chronograph. Anything that has a sporty vide to it. Watches that do it all. I like them not necessarily for their diving capabilities, because let's face it, as a non-diver, those capabilities are lost on me. But because or their robustness and larger size (without being gaudy).
I appreciate dress watches, but are not my cup of tea. I don't have a single dress watch. I tend to find them too delicate and most of them are on the smaller side and get lost in my wrist.
Divers and field. I have a few nice automatics, and love the action of a sweep second hand, but am more drawn to accuracy now (damn atomic clock app!). So quartz and specifically solar is way I’ve moved recently

Divers because i like to turn the bezel
#divewatch is my preferred analog. My primary watch is usually a digital Casio.
My go to has been a field watch but my new (to me) chronograph is working hard to change that.
Field watches are my preference for analog. For digital it is G Shocks.

Small and above all comfortable...oh and in the vicinity of the time of day.
Seiko divers. Old ones.
Diver, aesthetics and robust
Sports/dress/chrono
Divers mostly. Hard as nails, built for purpose and classic designs.

Diver because I’m a professional desk diver.

Chronographs & divers usually, but I've been semi-obsessed with fliegers & field watches of late.
