For the first time, I literally flipped a coin because I don’t want to pick against either brand. Two of my favs.

Monta. Fantastic brand, excellent quality, awesome customer service. Nodus is great, but I have to chose Monta.

#monta

·

Dang. I agree. This is a brutal choice. I went Monta, but could have just as easily gone with Nodus. I would love to own a Monta some day, but look at that dial…

This time I’m voting for the one I don’t own.

·

This is tough!

·

Going with Nodus.

Have enjoyed seeing some of the collabs with other enthusiasts and other microbrands.

And Nodus manages to bring some color, style to the classic watch tropes.

Not too mention the NodeX clasp. I'm not a bracelet guy per se, but it is awesome.

Monta here - they just do basically everything right IMO and offer so many luxury level qualities in their watches for a more modest price than Longines or Tudor. That's changing though with it's prices increasing quite a bit , so it's value proposition may change in the coming years.

·

Both awesome brands, but Nodus’ design language and market positioning is more my speed.

·

As much as I love #nodus and the great work and designs they do, I had to give the nod to #monta their finishing and movements are a notch above #nodus I still love #nodus as a brand though!

·

Now we are into the heavyweights...

As much as I like #nodus I have to objectively give the nod to #monta even though I'm much more likely to have a Nodus. However, that's just my budgetary restrictions & other desires that are causing that.

If some one were to tell me I could choose one watch free of charge to own from this match up, I'd have to choose a Monta Atlas with the Opalin Silver dial.

·

I went with Nodus, Monta does nothing for me. I'm sure Monta watches are great, but they hold zero appeal for me.

·

Now it's really getting interesting

·

This might be the first bracket where I'm not sure I can select a winner. Monta on the high end.... Nodus at the more affordable side. These are basically my personal two favorite microbrands.

I own several Nodus watches and always look forward to their new releases. They are just great all arounders. Designs that are original yet also have cues from other brands. Solidly built. Attention to detail. And great values for what you get. (This is where admittedly most good micros kinda shine).

Monta is legitimately an entry level luxury brand. Everything has been meticulously been refined. I kinda feel the only that keeps them from being actually at the level of say a Tudor or even Rolex is they dont have an in-house movement. I would like to see them expand the lineup. A true dress watch, a chrono. Because they are so meticulous, I know growth is slow but I hope they are looking into those things.

If you haven't tried either brand, I highly recommend both.

I vote for a tie. But this is the microbrand tourney and winner takes all. I leave their fates it to the Watch Crunch community. Reality is both brands are already winners.

·

Do not own either but like the Sector watches. So, Nodus it is…

·

I am SO biased but at the same time SO happy with my latest buy that I cannot go with anything different than Monta here.

·

Nodus for me, a more realistic price point for a microbrand imo

·

this is a tough one since there is such a huge gap in price. I think Monta watches are beautiful but I really find it hard to beat Nodus at their price-point. You're comparing watches that go for $1-2K+ to watches to sell for $500+. Not really a fair comparison

·

Maybe I've just been out of the watch consciousness but I genuinely don't know much about either of these other than seeing them at the few meets I've been to.

Voting Nodus purely because somehow Monta made it this far hehe

·

Tried a Monta on in the metal at NYC Windup Watch Fair. For the price I expected much more.

·

Well.. after sadly losing my good buddies @oak_and_oscar this year (we’re gonna get em next year!), I gotta pull out all the stops for my friend at Monta!!

Great team of enthusiasts over there putting out some fantastic watches…I’m a little biased too since they’re STL based 🤩 People of WC unite and let’s get my Monta boys steaming to the finish line!!!

·

Nodus all the way. Monta makes great watches but the designs don’t do it for me.

·

I can’t vote between these two, it’s a tie for me

·

#nodus

I love their watches and feel like they better represent the best of what is possible in this sector of the market.

·

I've had both. Nodus has fsr better value and takes more risks than Monta imo.

·

Oh man this is the toughest one yet but I have to show love to my fellow California brand Nodus.

·

Kind of quiet in here!

·

Poll closed for this matchup. Congratulations to Monta!
