Chris with the always eclectic selections!

Hey pal, are you going to be at Windup Watchfair? There's a Watchcrunch Meetup on Friday night, would be cool to meet you.

Oh, I will for sure be trying out some different straps on this one, I think it will take to a variety of leather and rubber and maybe even some NATO. I'm just hoping it gets here before next weekend so I can wear to Windup Watchfair in SF.

So...my sad regret story is still unfolding as I type this.

My journey into watch collecting started last year, and it started with the biggest regret purchase I've made. I'm literally unpacking this whole thing as I sit here typing. I really need to sell this watch, but even though I fully regret the purchase and I never wear the watch, I can't seem to bring myself to actually sell it. Part of the reason, I think, is because that without this purchase I would never have ended up here on Watchcrunch, and I would not have bought any of the other watches that I don't regret. Part of the reason is because I am pretty sure I am going to take a pretty hefty hit on the purchase price.

Although this watch was my gateway into collecting, my tastes almost immediately changed, and they changed in a number of ways that all lead away from this watch. To be fair, the state of my current collection is similar to many other early collectors in that it is all over the place, but the place that it isn't, is in the direction of that original purchase.

Another reason, I think, that I haven't attempted to sell this watch is that it will actually be my first endeavor into selling a watch. Although I have no qualms about going down the path of selling, I just I know that it will be a bit of a drag figuring out the ins and outs of where, and how, and what to avoid. I have made some inquiries with dealers on trade-in, but that hit was wayyyy too big of a hit for me to take on my first purchase, so I do know that I will need to go some other route. I kind of wish we had a commerce area here, as I feel like that wouldn't be too painful, and I would know for sure that it would be going to someone who will get the satisfaction from the watch that I don't.

Sorry for being a bit long winded here, but I have been holding all of this in for about 6 months, and I did need to get it out. Hopefully this bit of catharsis will be what I needed to get off my butt and get it done. So as not to leave you all in the lurch as to the watch, here she is from the one night I had it on wrist:
