Which 4 should I bring???

Relaxing next week with family in Santa Barbara. Trying to narrow down to 4 watches (3 in a watch roll) one on my wrist. These are the choices:

1. The “WAVE” by ARMITRON..(this one is basically my beach comber watch)

2. “HULL CHRONOGRAPH” by Spinnaker..a personal favorite.

3. “SURFBOARD” by Bulova.

4. “SEA KING” by Pagani Designs..I gave it that name.

5. “ORCA” by Citizen

6. “DURO” by Casio

These are the 6 that I have it narrowed too. The ARMITRON is definitely going with me. So I need to eliminate 2 watches from the list. Activities include skim boarding, boogie boarding. Bike riding in slovang. Beach side brunches, clam chowder on the pier and a zoo day. Any suggestions!?

Bulova surfboard seems perfect for the locale and activities you mentioned, I mean it’s called the surfboard?! So I would definitely bring that one.

I love the Casio Duro, and it is robust and meant to see some waves! So I’d bring that too

Then finally the dressiest one you’ve got for those beachside meals!

2, 5 and 6.

You don't need 2 chronos so I'd leave the Spinnaker behind since you need a surfboard on the beach. I'd also leave the Pagani home unless you get it pressure tested first.

The Duro is a must-because it's a Duro. The Orca can be used to scare the fish away and the surfboard belongs at the beach.

Hmmmm. These are things to consider

2,3 and 6. Make sure you get some fresh uni right on the pier and take a picture of it with the watch you're rocking. Winning!

·

You'll need:

  1. a beach/sand/water watch

  2. a casual dinner watch on the pier for lunches

  3. a dressier watch for dinner, if going to a fancier place

  4. something with an alarm

·

Spinnaker and Bulova because you need something a little fancy if you go out. Duro because it can stand up to the elements and a back up beach beater

·

I would take only one watch. A white dial with a blue bezel on a strap will do the job nicely! 😇

This . . . I honestly don’t get understand the impulse to travel with more than one (maybe two) watches. More to worry about. One versatile watch that can handle water and maybe something dressier if you have those kinds of plans . . . But we also live in a time when sports watches have basically become dress watches in practice for a lot of dudes.

I thought about that. But then my wife bought me a watch roll for my birthday. I just have got used to switching out watches and pairing them with activities and clothes I am wearing. I will be in a nicer watch during the day and I will come home and put on one of my Casios (which are great for around the house)..idk? Watches take on different personalities for me. I enjoy it.

When I travel, I take only two watches. It's usually a g shock and a dress watch. The g shock also shows other time zones, so that's already there. That pretty much covers everything.

·

I do agree! I love that watch. I am still deciding. Next month I am taking the family to Sea World in San Diego…so I am wondering if I should save it for that? But yes, the Orca watch is really one of my favorites.

·

Surfboard for sure. Duro for any potential bashing around. Spinnaker, just because.

·

The Surfboard! 🏄

·

With just 3 good watches and a few good straps you good to go dude!

·

Huh?

·

Duro and buy another in San Diego:) you know you will :)

·

Agreed!

We are on the same wavelength. These are the three I am leaning towards. :)

The Surfboard! 🏄

The surfboard is so comfortable..it really looks good in person. For sure I am bringing it!

Definitely 2 since it is a favourite of yours. Then 3 and 5 with the Armitron would cover a wide spectrum of activities. Enjoy the clam « chowdas »!

Yes..surfboard for sure! The spinnaker..I am almost certain. I might go with the Duro though, because I am heading to sea work a few weeks after!

I’m team Spinnaker. Chrono looks great for Santa Barbara with some seafood restaurants!

I love that spinnaker…that is almost a certainty at this point!

That is so funny you mentioned that! I was thinking about buying a watch there!

·

2, 4 and 5 is best.

·

One, two punch: Bulova and the Casio! Have a great time! 🤙❤️

·

Duro, Duro. It's a one watch collection.

Duro, Duro. It's a one watch collection.

You are kinda right. That would handle everything I would be doing! I wish I had the blue version though.

·

Nice collection.
