Achievement unlocked: Tudor 39mm.

Is it crazy? Is it stupid? For some it probably is and I do see a point in that.

Yet to me, each of these 39mm Tudor watches has its own character and it’s own reason for me to keep it. It’s a privilege to be able to chose in the morning which watch to wear today.

What do you think of the Tudor Black Bay 58 collection? What’s your favorite model and why? Is 39mm the sweet spot? And any ideas how to continue? 😋

Beautiful Collection!!

·

If someone told me that that’s what they collected, I’ll be honest, I would wait for the punchline.

But seeing it is weirdly mesmerizing. It’s interesting and unique. And within I brand and within even a style of watch, you managed to make it work. I think the aftermarket bands help separate the pieces too.

I saw this and thought, Power Rangers!

Amazing collection I do think 39 is the sweet spot for me. I would say my favorite is the blue dial.

Thank you for your warm words. You’re right, the BB58s in steel could be considered as entry-level watches. And it’s definitely one of the things that I enjoy, it’s a no-show-off watch. Even the 18k in solid gold has a low-toned brushed case.

I wonder to what kind of watch these Power Rangers would transform to 😂

I definitely wouldn’t say entry level. I own the blue 58, and it’s far from entry compared to my Casio a158w, seiko 5, and sistem51 tissot. I’d maybe say entry luxury at the least.

Very nice collection! And yes, 39mm IS a sweet spot for all wrist size imho

·

It is simply awesome! 🤝🤝👏🙌

The black BB58 was the first one I got. I sold it after half a year because next to my other watches, it felt too small 🤪 With a few additional years of age and experience I bought it again 😅

·

Wow, I think I have to change my underwear after seeing that picture... 😛

I have the bronze one and it is one of my favourites. I know I definitely want to have the 925 at some point and than later the gold one. That's it for me! Bronze, silver, gold. 🥉🥈🥇

·

This reminds me of how I purchase clothing… I’ll find a shirt I love the look-&-fit of, and then buy it in every color. 😂 I really like the 58 so this collection is made for me. I’ve yet to try the 54 out of fear I may prefer it’s size more, but wearing the black now makes it difficult to fathom an even reduced size would look better on the wrist.

·

Amazing what a variaty you and Tudor created with just 2 models, well basically one. Far more interesting than what big brother Rolex can match. The way materials used for case, dials and bezel makes you not realise that is basically the same model. I have the original black myself and the size is perfect for me. I hope Tudor come up with a blue Pelagos 39.

·

39mm Ranger is clearly the next purchase.

·

Where is the Harrods Edition?😜

·

It is cool to see others collecting Casio Duros like me....oops sorry I just saw these are Tudor Black Bays 🙄

·

That blue on the jubilee 🤌

·

If you ever need to sell any other than the blue BB58 (I already have one), just let me know.

·

Absolutely great collection however I think the black bay ceramic should be next. Love the bronze and silver

·

Interesting collection, I love Tudors myself since the modern iterations connect me emotionally to my younger years falling in love with timepieces, feeling the unfettered joy of an item for the simple pleasure of wanting joy! I used to feel exactly the same way about my Breitling Chronomats, Navitimers and several other iterations in their catalogue but love is not necessary eternal and we, none of us live in a vacuum. However you not only collect the watch but also the size so in 10 years there is a chance for constancy in your highly personal collection. I hope that you have investigated other amazing watches beyond 3 ganders.

I do not consider this a collection merely a playful interruption in my daily struggle with my personal routines of the getting and spending.

Thank you for the warm words! I’ve seen my fair share of nice watches I’d say. I consider myself lucky to be able to do that and meet some interesting people with the same hobby and all kinds of experiences like you 😊

My younger daughter and her hubby agreeably walked off with my BB58s but I am happy that it makes them happy. When I collected Rolex, they were mostly Franken but the Tudors were complete in serviced should have saved them but there was less guidance when I started. Your collection is really special. I hope that you will find more iterations to keep the interest relevant.

Best

It was never smart or stupid, just passion. No problem with it as long you like collecting just the 39mm variants. Perhaps the Black Bay 39 next?

And also all of the official available strap options for the 39mm models?😁

Love the BB58 collection btw. The #lume looks cool on the 3 6 9 of the bronze variant.

Enjoy your collection and happy crunching.

Thank you! Since I took the pic a BB Pro was added to the collection 😅 And tonight there’s a new rare 42mm addition coming 😇

·

Nooooo....you have stick to the objective haha 😂.

Btw you're on a roll. BB pro is awesome. How about the internet's favourites - BB41 Burgundy and BB54?

A new rare 42mm?

The Tudor Pelagos MN FXD, yeah? Then yes...... congrats. Am aiming for that watch next, limiting myself to just three Tudors. The FXD looks so close to the MN 9401, awesome #lume and the fixed lugs.

On a serious note, love your haul mate.

·

Close, yet I’d still it’s still a lot harder to get 🙈

I have to say this collection does indeed look quite interesting. I wonder how the Pelagos fits in the collection? For what occasion would you choose the Pelagos instead of one of the BBs?

·

The Pelagos 39 is the modern, no-nonsense toolwatch. Clear white lume, no retro flair, built for purpose and not design. And the titanium case and bracelet are really different to the BB58s!

Ah yes! I always forget it's a titanium watch 😜
