My first Oris

So this little guy just came in and I couldn’t be happier. It’s from the 90s which makes it vintage or neo vintage? I don’t know, either way I love it.

Congratulations it's a beautiful watch

·

Very nice. A little known history is that Oris was sourcing movements pre-2005 from ETA. After 2005 is when they went with Sellita.

·

Love the gold rotor 👌🏻

·

That's a superb Oris!🌹

Congratulations!👑

·

Classy is forever.

·

That watch is gorgeous. Adding it to the "I need to buy it list"

·

Stunning!! 🔥

·

Gorgeous watch congrats! I've just got the regular pointer date with green dial.

·

Beautiful watch you have

·

Gorgeous model, I have a smaller one and love it.

·

Congratulations on the watch. I love their big crown pointer dates, especially those older ones. Have so much character! 👍🏻

·

Very classy!

·

Beautiful!

I am really starting to appreciate Oris much more as i learn more about them. I really like that they are independent, and over engineer theor products.

They are doing awesome things...

I want one...did they make a 38?

Oh im not sure if they made a 38mm for these models. I know they have 38mm in their current lineup of pointer dates.

·

yeah I have one on my list...but that gold and cream combo 👌

·

Well chosen! It’s a beauty. 👍

·

Claaassic👌

·

That is stunning. It has just the right touch of gold to add a touch of interest but not so much to be overwhelming.

·

Great looking Oris. Welcome to the club!

·

Early Oris are the best…

Great watch. My first Oris is also from about 1995. 36mm. Still runs great. My daughter wants it. I also have the larger 40mm version that's about 10 years old. Just for completeness I included a picture of my 20 year old 38mm Oris that I have recently started wearing again.

I think we can just call it “vintage” or “newly vintage”. Imo “neo-vintage” makes more sense for a rerelease or a style of what that is done in a vintage style.

·

What a gem Ty. So many intricate details, wow 😍.

·

Love this

·

Wow. That's a beautiful watch.

Any dealers you recommend for cool stuff like this? Or a chrono24 find? Been looking for one of these myself
