Boring: NEVER
I have to say that I love the Bambino and I'm not sure why it isn't in my collection - it's a great looking watch which I don't feel is that boring.
My boring watches are:
1) Skagen Jorn (currently on a flowery strap instead of this standard mesh).
2) Nordgreen Philosopher
3) Steeldive SD8102 (or how to take a Max Bill and make it even more plain)
4) AliX $3 special which I use as a beater
Not boring, classic, simple and perfectly proportioned. I have not got one, but only because I like all the variants !
This is my boring watch.
My Casio Edifice. One of my favorite watching my collection and yes simple and what you might call "boring" but, one I will never part with
GS SBGX259. 37mm and just perfect.
Timex Marlin. Boring, classic, no lume. Not expensive. But a favorite that will never leave my collection.
Most of my sport watches I consider “boring” but that’s subjective. Ones boring is someone elses exciting.

This watch is not my daily wrist gear. But it does fit your definition of "boring simple yet classic".
Yes it's (1) boring (2) simple (the day-date feature can hardly be considered any real sophistication) and it's (3) classic in appearance at 36mm.
But pair it with good clothes and somehow, it appears less "boring"!
I prefer to think of it as "understated" 😉
