Christopher Ward C63 Sealander GMT

Hi Folks,

I am currently seeking a new watch to "complete" my collection. My daily watch is currently my Tudor BB58, which I really enjoy.

I have tried some Seikos but doesn't really felt it. Current I came across with Christopher Ward and their C63 GMT. I really like both the complication and the look of it.

Do you have any thoughts on this specific watch or CW in general?

CW make great watches, with finishing that is not at the Tudor level, but not too far below it from what I have been told.

I had a LE of the C63 GMT, and enjoyed it, but I found that I wasn't a fan of the GMT complication.

I currently have 5 CWs, including a three hander C63, and a C65 Dune.

In my opinion you can't go wrong with CW, but I am an proud CW fanboy.

A good friend of mine has a CW gmt which I have admired for a long time. They have a generally fantastic reputation and seem to offer quality considerably above their price point.

I will definitely be getting one. I think a few years from now CW will be firmly established as a premium make.

I've had a CW C63 GMT since last August and love it. Once CW replaced the name with the symbol I felt compelled to buy one since I complained so much about it...

My only issue with the C63 GMT is that the crystal sits above the bezel just a bit and I feel it would be better protected if it was flush. The other issue is while I like the bracelet, the new tapered bracelet on the C60 Pro 300 is nicer.

Both minor issues that wouldn't keep me from buying the watch at all.

I actually like his product. I purchased one a couple of years ago, very nice solid piece...my son stole it from me though and he says it is wonderful LOL

The Sealander was an "almost" for me until I started to notice the handset. Every hand on the Sealander is different, and none of them manage to tie in with the dial. It could have been better with a second's hand that's was not recycled from the Trident range, or with a slight change to the indices to tie the whole design together like they did with the Aquitaine, but no, why should they do it when they can pluck hands from random bins?

CW has some good things going for them but their dial design still has a LONG way to go.

I am now closer to pull the trigger.. latest when now a good deal come across it will be mine.

Thank you all for your help! Image

I love this one, have definitely got it on my maybe list.

·

Good luck, u won't regret it.

Also there's no last watch to "complete" the collection.

Just the last of many lasts.

·

I love CW and the C63 in particular.

I'm in a pause of buyi'g watches for now but my next watch will be a CW for sure

·

Like it but prefer 40mm. Isn’t this 42?

The C63 comes in 36 and 39mm.

CW are fantastic quality watches which genuinely punch way above their weight. Their 1K watches definitely equal many 2k-3k watches. Plus you get their great 60/60 guarantee. My C60 runs at +1sec a day

I have the white dial GMT. I bought it on the v1 bracelet. The bracelet is chunky compared to the thin and light caseset. I bought the tide strap that goes with this model. One day I am planning to take it with me to the CW showroom and have a look at the new bracelet and a Bel Cano.

The lume is really nice by the way!

I’ve been super impressed with my Christopher Ward. I’ve got the C60 Chrono. It’s one brand where I wish I listened to the hype and actually bought one earlier. I certainly have no regrets with this one.

Nice looking one. I thinking about it to make pair (white dial, automatic) with my GS SBGN003 (black dial, quartz).

Cw make great watches, the finishing is above the price bracket.

Cases are slim & well proportioned.

Highly recommended

Ah the ombre, that was my first, COSC certified 600m Ltd edition.

The dials have the pattern scratched by hand apparently so they are all different.

I think they still had some bronze ones left last time I looked

I'm currently trying to decide between this one and the new 36mm. Probably will go with the larger. I have a Tudor Black Bay but I'm in the market for a GMT and Christopher Ward is the ONLY watch that I have found to both be in the cost range in looking at and have a great design, finish and, will I just love the explorer look.

My only beef with the white dial sealander GMT is the GMT hand being black then turning to orange. Seems like an oversight in effort to use the same hand across the line. The black dial all good. Every other color is black from the pinion to the actual GMT hand and just doesn't seem "right" imo

Ending on a good note, the case is very nice and reminds me of the sarb017 in the light catcher details and I really dig it. Would rather have the dune GMT if they release that again

I have it in my cart, but I leave on Saturday for a week so I'm waiting until I get back home to order it, but to be honest, I'll probably order it several days before I get on my way back home. 😂

I love the SARB that's actually a really good observation that makes sense to me

makes me want to buy a CW off the strength of the resemblance alone. I have been partial to the military field watch personally. (I like lumed numerals)

Yet still haven't been able to pull the trigger. Guess I wouldn't be good in the military 😂
