Finished my collection

Hey Crunchers,

My goal at the start of this obsession/hobby was: get the perfect 3 watch collection. As of today I managed to make adjustments and got my 3 cores down for every occasion and wanted to share with you guys!

  • Rolex Explorer (36mm) - daily, tool, field, land

  • Santos de Cartier Medium (35mm) - daily, dress, pilot, air

  • Tudor Black Bay 54 (37mm) - daily, tool, diver, water

Additionally to the 3 cores got this sick watch as a must

  • Casio G-Shock X Super Mario Bros - daily, beater, chronograph 😎, and watch collab is just fire

What I like about my collection is all of them can be worn as daily so all 3 will get wrist time.

Technically its 4 watches but I see it as a 3+1 so its still a win 😬.

PS: my goal was actually to get a GS but this year Tudor release ticked all the boxes for me

Solid choices & with straps ready on deck to keep things feeling fresh 👌🏻. I’m trying to keep a tight focus on what’s really needed as well. It’s not easy, hopefully I’ll get there soon.

Nice collection. I got myself a SM GHsock too. Goal was to flip it and make a dime when the new film will be released. But in the meantime i got so much love for it there ain t no way it will be flipped.

the backlight is the highlight of the watch!

You might have to get a DW5600 or an F91 as a "true" beater to keep from messing up the SM g-shock 🙄... and the collecting goes on....

·

You have a great collection. Excellent taste!

dont tempt me 😬

·

Nice collection, but I don't think 'finished' is a word that applies for long. If you still don't feel it, I bet that in a while that itch will come back. 😉

·

hahahahahahahahahahahaha. finished. nice one. that really made me lol.

excellent collection though.

·

Stop it right there.. This is enough.

·

Perfect 3 watch collection.

Well played. 🎯

·

Solid collection! I like the box also👌

·

Great choices, looking forward to your next posts on expanding the collection 😂😂😂

I think it's missing the 11 Moonswatches. Guess it ain't over. 😀

·

The only thing you are missing is a proper mechanical chronograph. A Speedmaster Moonwatch would fill that void. I would put that g shock in your drawer and not in the watch box. it cheapens all the rest of your watches. It looks like it came out of a cereal box. I love g shocks and have several myself, but I would never put them into the same box as my good watches.

that gshock is in the case it came with, i filled it in the box to not have an empty space in the photo 😀

Im not much of a chronograph person. The dial feels too busy and got pretty skiny wrist, all chronographs (moonwatch included) look ridiculously big. Heck even divers are but this BB54 hit the sweet spot with its size (thickness).

Great collection

Extremely good taste; nicely done.

·

Well done!

You are missing an Omega. If you do not like chronographs, then an aqua terra is for you.

ye chronographs are too chunky and big for my taste.

AT was first watch consideration when i started to get into watches. But when deciding to pull the trigger it always lost to another watch (in this case Santos and Explorer) and now I dont feel anything special about the AT, even if i go and try it out at AD.

Ok, but you still need an Omega in your collection, no matter what the model is. You have 4 spaces in that watch box, and you need another one to complete the collection. If the sea masters do not work, maybe a globe master or a constellation would work better for you. Looking at that collection I think you need a touch of gold to spice things up. I reckon a two-tone constellation would work well.

also got nothing against Omega, they are insane for the price. Like their movement, branding and history overall.

only minus would be that they make quite thicker watches (from all i checked were 12mm+ in thickness) thats why i was considering the older 36mm AT or Railmaster but then its way too similar to Explorer which I love and they would get no wear time

Great collection!

Which one has had more wrist time lately?? Any preferences after a few months?

from the pic, only explorer stayed (with another gshock, Mario more like a collectible).

Santos now belongs to my wife 😁.

Sold Tudor, found out im not a diver style fan. I much prefer classy/dressy watches.

On the lookout for either DJ36 (blue motif or mint green) or a 44GS (SBGW303 or SBGW299).

·

I think the G-Shock is the best one😅
