Hey Crunchers,
after all the downsizing I would like to get back to a 3 watch collection which would consist of daily, sports and dress watch.
Currently I own Explorer and SBGW303 and deciding on which 3rd to get.
Occasionally I borrow my wifes' Santos, which can't count as mine now :(
Which do you guys think fits better, any suggestions?
PS. love a watch to be under 46mm lug-to-lug. Had BB54 but didnt like the bracelet design (links too blocky/huge -> could have bought Jubilee from Uncle straps) and case was flat -> fatigue on my wrist when worn whole day
Awesome collection, Congrats! One question, I voted A but the only problem I can see is if the black bay is your daily and the Explorer is your sports, which one to wear if you play sports during the day? (kidding) 🌈
Anything that avoids the Bland Bay.....

None
I have a gshock so no worries

I kinda like clean (bland) watches hahah
I went B. I feel the BB and the explorer don’t offer any difference between daily and sport.

Yep, i wasnt sure how to categorize Explorer either but Rolex themselves have it under Sports.
Based on what I own Explorer is daily sports and 303 is daily dress.
Guess im just making up excuses to buy another watch that would fill a role hahah

I think the diver is sports. The explorer is a daily.

Hmmm, what would u categorize Royal Oak/Nautilus as?
Imo they are sports watches but also daily. Kinda similar spot as Explorer.
Maybe categorizing as daily is wrong as any watch can be considered a daily. hmmm....
I would put all those watches in the casual category.
I think you’re covered with the Explorer. And you’ve got the GS as a dress watch.
Do you really need a 3rd watch?
If so then maybe consider a chrono or another watch with a bezel.

Honestly, either of the current 2 are GADAs and can cover me in every situation.
But my small brain cant comprehend this.
BBB36 is too similar to the Explorer IMO. I'd go for a diver...

The seiko would fit the bill (gmt but compact size - 45mm l2l). 62MAS looks also cool but that one is bit longer i think
Other than suggesting that you don't need another since these are so similar, I would throw the Khaki Field Titanium Auto (H70205140) into the daily category.

Ye agreed
Them being too similar might end up not being worn
Not getting third might and stay 2 watch be a solution (pleas brain, function 😅)
You have a Swiss field watch and a dressy Japanese sport watch. I'd finish it with a German tool watch. Hanhart or Junghans chronograph. Sinn or Muhle diver. Something like that.

Actually speedy reduced would be cool

Was looking at nomos club 36 but their lugs are waaay too long. Others u mentioned might be too big for my taste (unless u prove me wrong, i got no clue about them)
Here's an idea to save you some money and headache: 303 for daily AND dress because if I had that, it wouldn't leave my sight! 😍 Sports could be anything then really, depends on the sport! Maybe just an SKX lol.
With the Rolex and GS already owned, I don’t think you’d enjoy the SPB. Go Tudor and be done!
If I was in your position, I'd keep the Exporer as my daily, the GS for dressy situations (although it can double-duty as a daily too). For something you can bash around (aside from a G-shock), I'd consider the following:
Seiko - SPB411, SPB317, SRPC35, or the SJE093
Oris - something from the Aquis line 39.5
Something German - something from Nomos (Ahoi or Club Sport); something from Sinn (104, EZM3, or U50)

The 38mm diver style, not sure about the quality but for sure would save a lots of buck hahha

The issue MIGHT be, even the tudor wont be enjoyed with the current in collection hahah

SJE093 might be good, but already had bb54. The rest feels too big for my wrist.
Will see, maybe i didnt like the bb54 coz the bracelet, getting Uncle jubilee could have fixed that. So 093 might be an option 😎 (just 47mm l2l might be concerning coz of overhang)
UPDATE: decided for SPB411 to have more versatility
plan was for 2024 but seems like it will still get it in 2023 hahah, found one for great price
