for me they are like achievements and gifts I give to myself, all other things clothes shoes what not perish with time, but watches the good ones stay, just think about it even a quartz can go upto 5 years without any issues, with the intro to solar watches that is like indestructible object for that matter if you see the gshock metal solar option I've seen a video of someone bombing that watch and it still works and it could easily survive 100 years probably which makes it something you can buy when you complete a milestone and pass down to your children or god children when the time comes, for example jewellery, my mother has a really old ring which may not be too expensive in terms of money but as a thing which can be passed to future gens I think they are something you can keep close to you as a memory object, though I use my watch to find direction with the sun like I recently moved to toronto and everything is based on the Cardinal direction, unlike india you can find way easily here with that. so its an amazing tool too plus they look way better thn the average apple watch.
Yes there are but none have the amazing features, like the one I have is ECB10D that's such an amazing watch, but I just wish it was 39 or at least 40
