New on WatchCrunch!

Hi guys!

My name is Sebastiaan and I am co-founder of MAEN Watches together with Jules.

It is amazing to see so many watch enthusiasts gathered here!

We started MAEN about 6 years ago and are so grateful for all the people that supported us over the years. It has been an exciting journey and we look forward to all the new stuff that is in the pipeline :)

It would be nice to interact more directly with the watch community via this platform.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions and/or feedback.

All the best,

Sebastiaan Cortjaens

Hey MAEN ! Welcome to the Munch!!
Love that piece you got on!! Ohh Manhattan 37 i love it and the Hudson 38 is sanghas blue!!

·

Gave the website a cruise and watched the RandomRob review of the Manhattan 37; extremely attractive watch overall—the finishing looks superb. The Ice Grey and Salmon are my favorites.

·

Welcome to WC!  I think it's great that a few industry folks are on here, I love hearing about watches from the people who make them.

Hi Sebastiaan,

really looking forward to receiving my Manhattan later this week. ☺️ Great to see you guys on WatchCrunch!

·

Now we have MAEN full house. Welcome!

·

Welcome to the party . Nice to have your perspective on things.

·

Welcome! Any chance you’ll be launching ranges with 40+mm models at some point.

Hi, thanks for your comment. This is something we have been discussing regularly. Our Hudson diver was also available in 42mm for a short period of time, but it sold significantly less compared to the 38mm version. This is now many years ago however and our brand has grown of course, so perhaps the situation would look different now.  Perhaps we can do a poll here on WC and see that people would prefer :)

·

Welcome. I think I recall welcoming your cofounder to the WC not too long ago. Enjoy!!

·

Welcome @sebastiaan , it is pretty awesome to see watch makers also in the platform and tbh i love your designs. I believe that even the big brand's representatives will join the platform too soon to follow what's heating up.

·

Welcome. I suppose, we are much closer to your target audience than you could ever wish to find by standard promotional strategies. But we are also critical - when a watch is pants you'll hear it here first.

Thanks for your reply! That is really good to hear! We welcome feedback and always try to make improvements to our products! :)

You know that salmon/copper dials are irresistible to me - like horological catnip. I jumped on this the minute the pre-order was listed. Hopefully it will be a massive success for Maen and more will be available on a regular basis.

Hi, Sebastian!
Good to see you and Jules here!

I’m waiting to receive soon my Manhattan 37 blue like  yours, no date (tack!!).

And awaiting for news about the Brooklyn 36 introduced (as prototype) by Jules… nice! Good move, guys!!

Congratulations for your work.

·

Finally I got two Manhattan 37!! 😀

Two-into-one!! 😁 Because it’s the same watch, just under different light angles. It goes from vivid blue to almost black, due to the dial design. Impressive. And very very legible in any circumstance. Very nice, very good work.

The case and bracelet are very comfortable, love the size on my 18mm wrist. Very good watch for the money.

Great job, Congratulations @maenwatchesjules and @sebastiaan 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

·

Thanks for the compliments! And glad to hear you enjoy the Manhattan. 😀

·

I. Love. This. Watch. I haven't been able to own it yet. I'm just holding out hope that they don't sell out before I'm ready to buy it this summer!

·

My 2 cents .. Shorten the length of the sub indices and lume only on 12 3 6 and 9. Also frame the date window.  Right now from all the videos I have seen the dial looks a bit busy.

·

Saw the W&C review on youtube and fell in love - I'm on the notification list.

My only concern is how it will wear on my wrist - I currently have an omega Speedmaster (42mm), and a Raymond Weil maestro skeleton (40mm), so I'm a little concerned about how it will fit.

Also - when are these coming back in stock?

·

Would love to see a Manhattan 37/w date green dial version.
