Just gathered all my watches together and realised that I have almost as many watches as my age... when this will stop?

You can stop right there if you really want too. And as far down size looking at your collection🧐 it’s a tough one because you have some serious bad boys in there gonna be hard to let go. All I can say from experience takes time and deep thought. For all watch collectors is a sensitive emotional process. Best of luck.

Oh wow over all you have a hell of a nice watch collection. But to stop and downsize are the hardest two things.

2024. We all agreed to stop buying watches for 2024. A few weaker people fell off the wagon but we wish them luck in restarting a life with no new watches.

Don’t stop! What is the point of cancelling an activity that you clearly enjoy. I intend to slow down but not stop. My single imperative in the next few years watch related is to make significant additions, the definition to be solved along the way with a nod to my financial situation. I have perhaps 40 watches not counting a few sitting in my bank box, the clasp on a rarely worn Omega Seamaster 300 heritage failed, landed on my floor in pieces but I caught the watch avoiding damage. The snafu bothered me more than I thought it might had the clasp repaired under warranty the next day, even requested a mild buffing of the entire bracelet which I will happily pay for. My point is hobbies are positive activities makes life pleasant.

I need to take a picture of my collection if I get it all in one place, That’s the one you show the Mrs. this is just a few watches to me. I’ve gotten 100 range. I’ve never bothered actually counting but I know I’m there at least.
Im fighting the desire of buying until summer. Smh
Maybe challenge yourself to downsize ? It doesn’t look like you have a problem acquiring. This may inform which of these you really love

Those fakes I have them when I was a maritime cadet and earned about 300€ per month. I bought them with my first salary because those were the only watches they brought onboard in China. I had no watch then and I was super poor. For me those worth more than money. It's not about the fake or not its about how those meant for me at that age. And yes, 14 years later those still work like a genuine one. So please enjoy the rest of my collection it still has some originals within. Thanks!
