Who owns a Rolex?

I would like to know who on here owns a Rolex or two? Maybe it‘s a growing interest in the brand or there are just a lot of Rolex related posts lately, but i would like to know the percentage of real rolex wearers in the watchcrunch community.

1 for me 1 for the mrs so far. Plan to add a GMT and maybe an OP in future. Maybe a lady DJ for her too..

·

There’s only really one Rolex I desire - the 16570 polar.

So I guess at best I’ll be a one-and-done

·

Potentially a Daytona, nothing else holds any interest.

·

Perhaps I should make more precise my C vote, I no longer own any modern Rolex watches but have not been able to part with my shrinking collection of vintage iterations acquired many years in the past. I suspect some are Franken items but I have owned them such a long time already. No genuine interest in any modern model, seems to be more trouble than I can justify.

·

I was recently looking at an old 1990's GMT Master with black bezel, which I liked the look of. But ultimately, they are too expensive on the grey market, and I'm not that enamoured on the modern designs. Tudor would be a better option, but they can't make their GMT's thin enough.

·

Too expensive for me to justify owning more than one. If I had more money, I think I'd rather try other brands unless there's a specific model that I really like.

·

Two here: BLNR and Explorer. Short of a lottery win I’m probably set.

My darling wife also has a candy pink OP 31mm which she wears every day. Looks great on her 👌

That headline image is a fake by the way…! 🙏

·

And the image that you used for this post is a fake Rolex. Hahaha. No Daytona has an annual calendar feature. Those sub dials are all wrong. This is how they should look

Very well spotted. It is the only Rolex related thing i have but it‘s usually very well hidden.

That is correct.

I don’t own a Daytona, so I don’t know the specifics but it did look way off. 😂

Your model is probably best looking one.

·

I voted one, but certainly not done. Will get a Datejust, then I’ll be done.

·

Posted this the other day 😂

I am down to three Rolex watches..There are just way to many other great watches in my collection. Rolex has outlived its time for me it seems to just be a Flrx for most people and 80% on the street are fakes.. JMO

I have a recently acquired datejust 41 ( at retail)

Image

I won't ever sell it. I probably won't buy another as I feel I have scratched that itch and there are so many other great watches out there.

Never say never though, I quite like the explorer 2 and the yachtmaster!

very nice!

·

I wouldn’t buy one personally, but I have a Datejust inherited from my late grandfather.

·

I'm a none with no plans for any.

Very good watches, nice designs, well executed but the story, the vibe, of the brand is all wrong for me.

·

There are 3 Rolexes that I really love. Explorer 2 black dial(Own it), Sky dweller blue dial and GMT Master 2 CHNR. Rest of their catalog seems meh to me.

·

My sub 114060 and my dj 16234 is about it. But I wouldn't mind trading my sub for a 5 digit GMT luminova. But with all the counterfeit watches and parts around, it's a risk I'm not willing to take yet

same for me. they are well made and good looking but i don't get the hype.

·

None, and it will probably stay that way.

Initially wanted to start my serious collecting with an OP, but felt like a beggar at the Rolex AD. Went to the Omega AD, and was amazed how much better the AT looked.

Now the only Rolex i'd actually consider is a white Dial Explorer 2 with the orange GMT Hand.

BUT i'd never pay retail for that watch. IMHO it's not worth more than 5-6k€. At least not to me.

·

I dislike Rolex. I find them bland and boring. Even if I had the money for one, I would go for a different high-end luxury brand. The Cellini Moonphase in Everose is the only Rolex model I really like.

·

I'd like to own a Rolex at some point, a black & white Daytona.

It‘s really crazy that you have to pay so much attention and know so much about a watch that you don’t get scammed.

That‘s cool and the best way to get one. The Vintage ones also look better than the new ones.

My step-mother has a gmt with a pepsi-bezel and i hope at one point she will remember that it would fit me very well

·

I have two, but would like an Oyster Perpetual (possible) and a Daytona (probably not possible).

very cool. i'm really starting to like the sub.

·

Yes, I wear the Sub nearly every day.

·

Have owned three. Enjoyed them but no more than any other well made watch have owned.
