When you order a "NEW" watch from an authorized AD "UPDATE"
You can understand my disappointment when Fedex arrived with my "NEW" Grand Seiko only to find this packaged inside! The AD had this listed on their actual site under new, not pre-owned but new listings. Obviously a floor display that had not been handled with care. I paid 6k for this 😑
I am not a happy camper and will post updates tomorrow after speaking with them.

At this point I just want a refund. This one a second watch after they agreed to replace my 1st order! 😡

I actually received this after returning my original order! I agreed to except this NEW Grand Seiko instead and this is what they sent me. So freaking disappointed in the dealer.

Unfortunately no, it was listed under new stock with Grand Seiko's original generic pictures that are always shown through boutiques.
This happened to me once then I requested for a replacement and guess what! the replacement also had minor scratches

Let me know if you have any doubts. If you are in the US you will need to pay for an “import tax” of around 8% of the value… keep that in mind, but anyway I believe I got a good deal buying a USD6.3k watch for USD 4.1k all in…

Yeah that's one thing about here that seems better than watchuseek forums. On watchuseek you will have 5-6 ppl swarm you for having the audacity to post a thread about basically anything. But I like it here on these threads the ppl are more laid-back mostly you don't have trolls attacking you for having the audacity to post or think xyz 🤣
I got an unbelievable good deal on this. It also was sold as new but it had no stickers and I believe one link missing. I think it also was a display model. Difference was it was in new condition and I paid better than used price so I was happy to ignore it . What you have there is disgusting I hope you sort it out
Legally speaking, if it hasn't been previously sold, it is "new". I have had two issues with "new watches" from a secondary source. Both times the watches did not run properly but the merchant is honorable and replaced both of them with no issue. Sorry to hear you've had this bad experience.

The manager of the AD called me personally he agreed to replace it again. He apologized for everything that has transpired and guaranteed me that this next one will be an untouched, new watch. They had to get another directly from Grand Seiko USA.

The watch has been sent back and awaiting my "New" untouched Grand Seiko! I'll post pics when it arrives 👍🏽
My 2nd replacement has arrived safe and sound! All is good in the world 🎉
