Thoughts?

Hi everyone! I’m very curious on your thoughts in Studio Underd0g.

Windup Watch Fair in SF is around the corner, and I’m really hopeful to see if I can get my hands in the pineapple version of the Pizza Party, but I wanted to hear people’s thought on the chronos from them.

I really like the quirkiness, the design and the movement of the watch, but would love to hear opinions.

Thank you in advance!!!

Seems fun but the novelty might get old. Not my cup of tea but Studio does make some good watches! All the best mate

·

I’d have to see it in person but my first reaction is 3am sidewalk vomit. I’m sure it’s better in person.

·

It’ll ruin my keto diet

·

I got the Goofy Panda as I was a little worried that I’d never wear the Watermelon (the Pizza wasn’t out then but pretty sure I’d have felt the same way for that) and I’m really happy with it. Looks great is comfortable on and the QC is really great. I think the Pizza looks fantastic but it’s a bit much for me.

I like the idea, but a chrono, that only stops 30 mins is pretty useless for me. Even a diver can track 60 mins with the bezel. Would love to see one, with three subdials.

·

Go for it, everyone should have one fun watch.

·

Absolutely not for me. But if it’s for you and appeals then go for it. Cheap Chinese movements and ‘quirky’ design apparently floats many boats so

·

Someone in our watch group has a few. They are great. I’d wear one regularly.

·

This watch is awesome

·

The Hawaiian is a lot more subtle in person than it is in press photos/images.

I would consider it wearable in a smart office environment. My photo below does not do it justice - its more muted

I love mine, but it is a little more under the radar than the pizza party

It’s fun. I wouldn’t get it if it was my primary watch. But if I had a large collection and could afford a watch I use once in awhile. Yeah, why not

·

Awful, really don't see what all the fuss is about.

·

I feel the regular series has more character with the goofy panda. The position of the chrono dials is part of the design. For me a pizza, I'd rather have that on a swatch.

·

Looks fun! Just don't wear it in Italy 🤌🤌🤌

Interesting … I’m definitely not that bold. do they name the movement inside? It looks a lot like the seagull 1963 from the picture and that one also only goes to 30min?

I don't like'em. But that's me. I like the idea of them, but I wouldn't wear them.

·

I think their watches are very funky and I’m definitely leaning towards a few of them but not the pizza one.

·

Another piece I can appreciate but don't need to own. Though, it'd be funny having the option of "Hawaiian pizza" when deciding what watch to wear.

·

I want a Hawaiian too!

·

I'd buy it!

·

This damned watch makes me want pizza every time I see it. I’d be on 50 pizzas a day if I owned the thing.

·

I did a write up of my time buying one after British Watchmakers’ Day.

I love mine! The story makes sense to me and fits where I am in watches right now.

I’ve already got my ‘serious’ and versatile watches, this is a bit of fun. The Hawaiian is a bit more subtle than the Pepperoni!

·

Canada's gift to the world. Hawaiian pizza. And those pineapple pieces had better come out of a can! I fear that Studio Underdog is drifting ...

·

Hmm, I'm a vegetarian. Pineapple is delicious on pizza, but ham? I just can't condone that.

·

Like their stuff but I’m not at the point yet that I want to own a pizza watch, but I absolutely love that they are clearly enjoying the shock and awe from Switzerland haha

You’re right. It is a seagull 1963 movement. I have seen it stated somewhere. Also I have a seagull 1963 and it looks the same!

·

Just keep in mind that servicing mechanical chronographs are much expensive than a regular movement. Even if it's the seagull

·

I like everything about the watches. It's refreshing, it's different - just what the industry needed.

Why so serious?
