What should be my only watch purchase be next year?

So I'm at a point where I pretty much have all the watches I could dream of. So this upcoming year I am going to double down on quality over quantity. At most two watches or one watch to rule them all. I have a few options that I have been looking at. I have seen these in person, have tried them on, and have done more than a fair amount of research. Let me know what you think is best and feel free to relentlessly mock my choices, question my character and meme away.

You should add a diver!

You should add a diver!

I agree, but not the GS one that is listed as option B, IMO.  Omega Seamaster 300M.

If you like GS, that one in option D is a fine choice, but I wouldn't get a GS diver.  I would get GS for the sure beauty of the dial and finishing, which is better enjoyed on ones like the one in option D.

So, how about, option E.  Omega Seamaster 300M and GS Shunbun.

Agree with the SMP suggestion, or if you have the funds the Blancpain FF Bathyscaphe.

I'm just not a diver watch kinda person.  I've tried several.  Decided I liked the Aquaterra more than the 300m.  Until I shed weight I am at risk of being harpooned should I ever enter the water 🐋

The Tudor Black Bay Pro & Grand Seiko Shunbun is a One Two Punch!

·

@TimeJunkie is selling his GS SBGA463.

·

That BB Pro and Shunbun is a combo I’m considering for myself right now too. Haven’t seen either in person yet tho they look great online.

·

i voted D as it will easily eliminate the watches you currently own, if i was in your position that is. If you dont intend to sell any of them, then Option A. great position to be in nonetheless OP :)

·

I also think about shrinking my collection (currently 8 watches, targeting 5) to be done because it is to many to maintain and the more quality watches, the more expensive it is.

To answer your question, it could depend of the kind of person you are : traveller or more connected to water/sea/ocean?

You might be bored with just one watch.

I personnally would go with choice D. Both water resistant, both in house, GMT + spring drive, 2 kind of metals, the GS could be worn as a dress watch, 2 completely different dials by famous and quality brands...

Honestly, it would be a nice 2 watch collection.

The Octo Finissimo is head and shoulders above everything on this list.

My latest pick up was a pre-owned Octo Solotempo.  If I had the budget for the Finissimo, I would have picked that up for sure.

·

I think a Panerai would be appropriate.  There are many to choose from in a variety of sizes and configurations.  My Panerai, (PAM270) is my favorite and most worn watch.

·

I will go for the GS diver. there are underated in my opinion.

·

I would go for option D. Two different styles of watches with different dial colors are really versatile and a lot of fun.

·

I'd go for Option D too - the Tudor BB Pro looks amazing!
