Watches and Wonders 2024 - did you see a watch you would actually buy?

The one newly released watch I'd buy if it was within my budget is the Baume & Mercier Clifton Moonphase Date:

GMT Master II, on an Oyster bracelet. The one that doesn't scream "I'M A GMT MASTER II"

Yeah, I find the move towards a tooly design quite nice, especially because Rolex has been moving towards bling more and more 🙈

Artya, Hublot, and JLC have had the most interesting releases. The rest were all way too safe and I will say boring. So far, not a single item I would call my AD for.

So far I agree, the Tag is beautiful on the steel bracelet. But it's only the first day 🙂

So far, I’m not even whelmed at all, whether over or under. Most releases show how removed the brand executives are from their customers and they all seem to come off as desperate pandering to try and get the next big hype model. Overall, it’s a a sad, pathetic display of blandness.

Bulgari is the only Ray of sunshine here but not with an actual mass market saleable product.

I liked a lot of Cartier's announcements but they were basically all precious metal apart from the dual time santos which will be impossible to get for a while

I am going to think seriously about chatting with my wife about the Laurent Ferrier classic moonphase with a murano glass moonphase disc. It should be an exit watch from the hobby but I wonder if I am there yet.

I'm definitely interested in these, although being a limited edition they'll probably be long gone by the time I'd be ready to buy one.

I like the Zenith Defy diver and actually the new Bremont didn't look too bad but still a bit of a Hamilton Khaki/ Zenith Type 20/ and some case I can't quite put my finger on, mash up

Most of what I have seen so far I either don't want or won't afford my self one.

I do like the Tag Heuer Glassbox models(all of them).

Hate how Tag does the running seconds subdial the dial color.

Sadly, the only ones that I could afford are some models from Raymond Weil and the new Alpina Diver. And they didnt really "wow" me.

I really like it... Functionally if a tricompax but like like a bicompax. Also keeps the "wonky" seconds hand a bit out of focus.
