Seiko SKX013 Spontaneous Dive Watch itch scratched
I've been looking for a dive watch for ages now, but couldn't bring myself to spend 3k€ on a diver. For me, a dive watch is a tool watch.
I've been looking at loads of divers, from 100€ to 5.000€, but couldn't decide on one. I found a good deal for a SKX013 on a local website and decided to go for it today 💸
First impressions: I'm actually really impressed.... I was expecting a cheap Seiko dive watch, but the build is really solid. The matte black dial is really cool. Don't particularly like the provided silicone strap, so it's on a Milanese until I find a bracelet I like.
Haven't checked the movement yet, but I'm not expecting COSC from a 7S26 😂
For now I have to say, the hype is well deserved 👍

I had the same thought a while back and dove into eBay, coming up with a turtle. I found a great bracelet from Uncle too. There is something just fun and satisfying about these inexpensive Seiko divers right?

You can always swap out the movement too.

Yeah! I tried on a turtle a while ago as well, and was really only a step away from buying it.

Yeah, but I kind of like the charm of the 7S26... If I want a COSC certified diver with Geneva stripes and other "necessities", I won't be getting an SKX 😂
I think the prices have gone down significantly in the last months. Mine was nearly new and got it for a good price..

Yeah, have the president bracelet from Uncle Straps in my shopping cart already 😜 don't like the Strapcode and Namoki Oysters, because of the huge male endlinks
