Best watches for tiny wrists? (13cm)

My love for watches sparked when my mom gifted me her old watch from the 80s. She didn't like it anymore because this 28mm Rolex OP is "too small" for her. As seen in the title, I have tiny wrists. Like. Tiny wrists (13cm). I struggle to find watches that are not just pink or covered in gems (as seen in most women's watches). I am currently considering the Cartier Tank or Longines Heritage Conquest 35mm, but they're both dress watches.

Anyone has the same issue and can recommend nice small watches that are more "masculine"?

A watch that I like the look of is the Seiko SPB155J1. But I think it'll be too big on my tiny wrist.

Check out a lot of Asian brands. Kurono does a nice job of catering to smaller wrists.

Lots of awesome new watches coming out that would perfectly fit your wrist:

The female version Aqua Terra is nice. The Asian brands would be a good fit as well. I know you have tiny wrists, but just a thought to maybe go with a male version watch in a small diameter. would that still be too big?

·

Check out midsize Omega Seamaster watches. They made several different ones with 36.25mm cases. They are fairly thing as well with the 1120 movement (ETA 2892 based). I have worn one for years. 14.5 cm wrist here.

steel of a deal at Jomashop. Tissot powermatic 80 in 32mm

I got one in 33mm for $175.00 USD

·

If you can do 36mm, the world is your oyster.  If not, there are a ton of cool vintage men's watches that are 34mm or less.  Also, try Chrono24, you can filter for whatever size you want.  For instance, I found over 600 Omegas listed at 29mm.  If vintage isn't your thing, you can also filter for new watches only.

For 13 cm I think male watches even with 36mm diameter are already too big.

I don't know really high end market so ask someone with money 🤣

Go with Seiko Presage ladies line for dress watches, some of their JDM GADAs, there are 36 and under models.

There's also some of the Ball women's Fireman and Engineer III that you might like.

If you have the money go for the Seiko Alpinist 1959 Alpinist re-creation.

It's 36.6mm. Or go for the Longines Spirit? That"s 37mm thought the long lugs might turn you off. Hope that helps.

·

lots of nice 36mm watches out there!

here’s my kurono

Another nice option is the blok watch in the black colorway, it’s a 33 I think.  Here is the yellow on an 11cm wrist :

depends on your price range of course.

if money no object I’d go for a small GS as per @HotWatchChick69 s suggestion!

This is 37mm which I think would be fine. https://youtu.be/JJUITcDujBA

A big watch with short lugs makes your wrist look bigger in my experience.  And it's more fun than a small watch. I'd measure the lug to lug that would fit you and go from there.

And don't be afraid of a little air gap. As long as the strap curves inwards you're still good.

For example this one in theory is too big for me but I like it.

Undone's female watches are 34mm with 16mm lug width, and are styled and proportioned very similarly to their men's watches.

Hi OP,

as a young male with seriously tiny wrists your search feels very familiar.

Let me share three watch recommendations of my permanent collection with you that could be interesting options:

Tudor Black Bay 36mm

Junghans Max Bill 34mm

Nomos Tangente 33mm

Hope this help!

I have something completely different to suggest you, but... How deep the rabbit hole are you whiling to venture?

If you're here I imagine you're more than casually interested in watches so here it goes:
A cool rare watch, a book and a path for you to discover.

Vintage NOS - New Old Stock - Enicar Sherpa for ladies.

It's automatic, with 27 mm case width and not terribly expensive (negotiate for it, it's good fun!).
According to the listing the watch has been serviced already so you don't have to factor an additional watch service that can run a couple of hundreds.

I buy all my wife's watches and if she would be into automatics, I would get her this in a heartbeat. The seller seems reputable and dealing in Chrono24 is one of the more safe and easy transactional models out there.

The original Swiss family owned brand disappeared decades ago in the late 70´s. When you start researching for Enicar you will likely come across Martijn's work. His book is one of the best references for the brand and a fantastic read if you're interested in discovering the brand's history.

This is interesting from the get go and likely not to surface again, ever.

There's some romance here as well, at least to me, it is very sad to see a watch lost in time, and for such a long time, never worn nor appreciated.

Save it!
Use it, cherish it and make it a part of you watch journey.

I also have a NOS Enicar Sherpa D, same case but bigger, and the finishing from factory over 45 years ago is absolutely spectacular. On a light brown suede band will look amazing.

Good luck and enjoy 😉

https://www.seikowatches.com/au-en/products/discovermore/sur463 is a shade under 30mm. Nice contrast to your other watch, being a white dial. Nice video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV8aU7Xzyi4

·

So looking on Jomashop, I set the filter case size 25-30mm and 30-35mm

this is what it gave me: https://www.jomashop.com/watches-for-men.html?watchsize=25-30+mm%7C30-35+mm

there appears to some nice watches.
Also, remember that lug to lug and lug width make a huge difference in show big or small a watch looks on your wrist.

I'll admit to being an Orient Star explorient shill, but the 34mm versions are very nice, come in a variety of beautiful colours, and solidly built. They're reasonably affordable, the only downside being their relative rarity as a JDM model. I've seen a fair few sold online around the SEAsia region though!

So far I've seen white, cream, black, light blue, dark blue, light salmon and brown dials, so you're spoilt for choice.

This Parnis comes in a variety of colours, is 26mm (some stores on Ali have it as 27mm), and costs a tad above $100. Miyota movement.

Tudor used to make a Submariner Princess Date (I think it was called Princess vs Prince - also known as the lady sub) that was an awesome little (and I mean little!) sports watch. Some other brands in the 70s/80s had similar offerings too, assuming you don’t mind going vintage. Otherwise the modern Tudor Black Bay 32 might be up your alley.

Welcome to Watch Crunch! I really like your 28mm Rolex.

·

The smallest watch that I own is the 34.5-35mm Mathey-Tissot MT369 which is definitively NOT a dress watch.

Image
·

VINTAGE - 35 mm was a very common size for men's watches in the 1960s - 1980s.  There are tons of quality watches at bargain prices because of the same reason your mom stopped wearing the Rolex.  When men started wearing 40 mm - 42 mm the price of smaller diameter watches fell.  With 38 mm and 37 mm being the new sweet spot the 34 mm and 35 mm are still inexpensive and abundant.

·

How about the Grand Seiko Lady Snowflake STGF359? I never heard of it until I dropped by Topper Fine Jewelers in Burlingame this past weekend. 29mm, shown next to a 37mm SBGX265. Beautiful snowy dial, blued second hand, hand polished everything, quartz movement accurate to 10 seconds PER YEAR.

@uhrensohn I like this watch and I've been noticing them on aliexpress for a long time. Have you seen them "live"?

I haven't seen them live, though I do own the larger male variant.

For a non rendered image, this is from a customer review on Ali:

There are more options if you allow quartz. In the world of AliExpress the brand Wwoor has some watches matching the brief, e.g. the Montre Femme

This 29mm dial sold more than 800 copies on Ali, and has a whopping 265 reviews. And is just £8.30. Worth a shot. For non-Ali-people: that pricepoint for a quartz is middle of the road price on Ali and you can still expect decent build quality.
