Got the new Kurono! 🙌💙Fiancé was less impressed🤣
I was so excited to have gotten one of the new Kurono release (my ideal one too!). I'll share a picture when I get the watch, but here's how my convo with my fiancé went:
Me: OMG I got one of the new Kurono watches! They only have 150 of each version!
Her: Good job! I'm happy for you!
Me: Yea! And it's only one thousa-
Her: ONE THOUSAND dollars? You paid one thousand for it?
Me: One thousand... 7 hundred dollars...
Her: oh well

With a bit of experience and a bigger collection, you can get away with these purchases more easily if you can avoid discussing them with your wife first. I texted my wife a wrist shot of a watch I wanted to buy and before I could explain why it was a good deal, she replied and asked why I was sending her a pic of one of my watches.
At first, I was shocked because how could my wife not realize how different this new watch was from all my other watches (does she not listen to me go on and on about each one at dinner) but then I decided not to look a gift horse in the mouth. Since my wife thinks the new watch is part of my collection already, I gotta figure a time to get out by myself this weekend to go and buy it.
This looks better than some of their other models. The ones with no hour markers seem weird to me. But this one makes sense. Congrats on a great choice!

I used my laptop and had all my credit card info ready for quick copying and pasting haha. I got it 15 secs after it turned 9, an apparently this colourway was sold out within 1 minute.
Break them in now. Get them used to the idea. There will be other watches. lol.
I feel like non-watch enthusiast partners/spouses will always question price no matter how much you explain that 1k is a steal haha. I also managed to grab this particular model . . . and my wife was like, "Congrats?"
