Holy Shrinkage Batman 🤣

·

Waking up and not thinking of buying another watch

·

A 6.75” wrist keeps me out of enough watches already. With a 4” wrist, I’d just give up.

Waking up and not thinking of buying another watch

That’s a dream and a nightmare at the same time, duality of a man haha

·

Thank you! I added the answers to the description.

Winding the crown and looking at the open case back of a miniature machine is the major reason I do this craziness.

·

I have no fear of automatic watches going extinct, as watches are already pretty much a luxury item rather than a necessity, and I am also OK with quartz watches and have a number in my collection. I am also not that worried about waking up with 4" wrists. I think I would be more worried about the end of days if MVMT was even in a position to buy Seiko than the actual purchase, so I voted for the Filippo Loretti gift, as my wife has already given me a Bering and a Relic as gifts, and has a habit of caring more about how the dial looks than how well the watch is built.🤣 She has got much better as evidenced by my Bulova Hack and Casio Pac Man gifts. 😍

As they say: A MVMT from a special someone is more precious than a Rolex bought by oneself.

·

I pray for your soul

·

The thought of MVMT buying seiko just RUINED my day haha.

Do they say that? Bc I’m not so sure…

I hope they do, at least that’s what I tell myself everyday

·

No partner of mine would pull that 😂

Mvmt buying seiko wouldn’t bother me

Got enough quartz to know they aren’t all crap

But a 4 inch wrist 😳 from 8 to 4 would be painful but not hurt as much as not being able to wear my 50mm tuna no Mater how small they wear 😂

Waking up one day to realize there’s no one to service my automatics.

I guess with advent of smartwatches and generally changing times there are less and less local watchmakers to service watches. Even in big European city I live at - there’re not many watchmakers and most of them are older guys. Workshops are gradually closing and mb in decade or two there will be none around :(

·

I dont know. I feel like this poll will live in my nightmares for ever 🤣 amazing post

·

My fears mostly revolve around watch prices further outpacing my earnings...

·

E. None of the above

Watches don't feature in my nightmares fortunately 😉

There are other more important things that capture that space.

All of the above. A, B, C & D. I'm going to go with B for the Seiko of the poll.

·

My nightmare is everything shrinks to 4"........ both my wrists and ankles.

·

Waking up with hands attached at the elbow!!😠

Try having a 6” wrist! 😂😂😂 but yeah, I don’t think even Baby-G would work on 4” wrists

·

Why is Fillipo Loreti a bad thing? Never heard of them until now.

·

If automatic watches become extinct, I'll go insane. Never again will I wear a quartz. Additionally, if my 5.5-inch wrist is going to become 4 inches, I might as well hit the gym and bulk up.

·

Take my strong wrist

The thing is that all of these are changeable. Getting a gift that’s crap from a romantic partner (and them being oblivious to that fact) is the worst one and much more like clearing a mine field.

Automatic watches not being a thing wouldn’t mean the the end of mechanical watches, just self-winding ones.

I dislike that the term “automatic” has become so overused that it leads people to think that that’s what a mechanical watch is. It’d be like calling every car an “SUV”.

You’d still have manual-wind ones.

Legit! Small watches are too small and big watches are too big 😳

·

My biggest fear?

Image

Waking up and finding my wife has sold all my watches for the prices I told her I paid for them.

Thank you!
