Well as for my estmations this time the hype will definitely die faster but Swatch found a way to boost their brand by copying. What will be the next one? PATEK or AP? I mean Richard Mille is already plastic 😂
Most dive watches look almost identical. So does this, but at least it uses a better case material. What is there to say about dive watches? They are a snoozefest of generic hidebound design.
60 quid for the watch, bump to 80 if it’s their machine made auto, throw another 40 for the brand names. Round it up a bit… should be about 150 quids worth of watch.
It won’t be though.
It’ll be about 400, and people will be better off hitting Orient, Seiko, and Citizen.
Edit: Sistem 51 regularly land in the 200-300 mark, so it’s definitely going to be 400-600.

at the end of the day it's going to be a plastic, lightweight watch that isn't going to be anywhere near the quality of a Blancpain, I was originally excited by the MOONSWATCH, but as soon as I saw the quality issues I decided not to bother, I see this going the same way, and the fact that its dull as dishwater doesn't help, at least the MOONSWATCH from a distance looked like the speedy it was trying to be, so far both are MARMITE / VEGGIEMITE depending where you are from, LOVE THEM or HATE THEM, I am the latter 😂
I think the movement will be fine. Most if not all quartz movement easily last 10-20 years. I’d be more interested to see how good the construction is(remember the whole buttons falling out of moonswatch and colors transferring onto the arm issue) and the price.
Ah but these are automatic not quartz, Sistem51 is Swatch's automatic range

An okay, I thought swatch would stick a quartz in there cause it’s easier to have at least 200m water resistance with that as opposed to an automatic and well more reliable.
You know what I don't hate it, price depending I could pick one up, much better than the Moonswatch looks wise, although I don't have much faith in the bezel action of these thrifty fathoms
Thrifty Fathoms - love it. Also heard 0.5 Fathoms!
I'm a fan of the Blancpain, but if this were the design I don't think it would do well for the masses. It looks very generic, and design elements that work when it's ceramic and steel (ex: that Bezel) just look plain and boring in a flat plastic.
Will be more over hyped and underwhelming pieces of plastic just like the omega collaboration. And water resistant that can't take a wet fart. Kinda pointless
They wrecked it by copying even the date in its original place on the dial . Your rendering is better :) If they sold them in the local shops I might peek at one but otherwise, I think they won’t be cheap.

Cheap is how you look at it, will cost around 600€ I guess, that is lots of money for a watch! Anyways, what's the purpose of money whilst laying around right? 😀

I lent that much to my youngest daughter today so there is that type of randomness in my life to preclude said purchase 😂
In addition to my thirst for learning, I have two captivating hobbies that allow me to express my diverse interests: collecting vinyl and watches. With a keen ear for music, I immerse myself in the ri...

Much like the Moonswatch I think it looks great but I’ll hold off buying untill I see what those who do buy them think.
You're right, absolutely rubbish anyway, but I need the points! 😍

Guess it all comes down on the quality and the handling of a non serviceable movement ✨
Yes, it's gonna be tough!

I think it is nice watch if it is colourful. I also heard that it will be automatic. for less than 500?

This is the movement SISTEM51, a movement you cannot service, https://www.swatch.com/en-us/sistem-51.html
White bread

I think they're godawful. Worse than the Moonswatch, which I'm not enamoured with, either.
As always, folks, if you're buying this, it's not a Blancpain on your wrist - it's an overpriced toy Swatch.

4 or 5 Prodivers. Seiko movement. Can't go wrong.

I’m kind of interested to see this now. It’s a Sistem51-Fathoms - that’s clever. That’s very f*****g clever.

😂 still think THE No. 1 rant is going to be whining about the WR......it's a Swatch.
And eye rolls aside, good seals = good WR. Look at all the videos of Casio F-91W'S going meters down....
The "Leak" looks better than the real thing. Sad times... :D
