Please it'll be good to figure out what it is

Unfortunately since had some issues with time-keeping, I think the old owner hadn't serviced it (possibly why it was going for quite cheap) and as a student I have to be a bit careful with money, but I'm hoping to get it serviced and working again in summer when money is a bit less tight

Nah don't worry, you didn't come across any way, there's plenty of posts in this vein, laughing at myself more than anything, can't laugh at someone else's good fortune, it is a beautiful piece in all seriousness, more power to you 🍻

Looks stunning, wish I had the money to accidently drop 6k on a watch 😂 great pickup

commented on Display Casebacks... Yea or Nay? ·

Yay in some cases, but I am sick of watches with poor movement finishing having display casebacks, especially if that watch isn't the sort of watch you'd expect someone to buy as a first step into the hobby. Yay if the movement has nice finishing, or if the watch is the sort of thing people buy as a first mechanical watch (Seiko 5 for example). Nay if it adds nothing to the watch, from budget microbrands with poor movement finishing that people won't buy as a first mechanical watch (Boldr for example, and the host of other NH3- and Miyota 8000 series based microbrands), or more expensive watches with poor finishing.

Definitely love the motorsport link, one of the big draws for me too
