Kevin and Teddy had a budget of $12500 each and build two affordable collections. Which one would you choose?

Bewitched by that Longines Ultra-Chron

I love this watch...it is truly awesome...

Teddy's collection is more versatile imo.

·

I’d pick Teddy’s. More my style and since he has a small wrist like myself, they’ll probably fit me better.

·

i have to abstain, there isn’t a watch in either collection I would actually buy 🙁

·

I’m not a fan of either, but just from a distance I’m drawn more to Kevin’s as I know he has a thing for dials, which I sympathise with. Teddy might actually have the best watch of the lot with the Ultra-Chron in that colourway, but like I say, not really enamoured by any of the choices. I think neither are particularly amazing tbh, and seem to lack versatility. You could even reduce to 4 pieces and make this a better all-round collection. Anyway, there was no vintage or Hublot, so it’s a pass from me.

I'm going with Kevin's as I'd been looking at the Oris Air Okavango for some time.

I agree entirely except about the Hublot 👍

And that’s fine, but you are wrong 😂

I mean, Vertex M100AC, Hublot Classic Fusion (titanium and black dial), Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador in Asturias Blue, and a Dan Henry 1945 Black. Boom.

I‘ll take my finders fee in £ please.

·

Kevin always wins these. This one was harder to choose than the others, but I still decided on Kevin. I do love the Oris big crown pointer date that teddy choose but it doesn't outweigh Kevin's overall collection amassed.

Again totally down with the Vertex and Dan Henry, not to familiar with the Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador. But it will be a hard pass on the Hublot.😆

It’s fine - swap the Hublot out for anything else sub £7k, but it’s a nice luxury sports 😉

For $12.5K, I’d go:

  • Omega Aqua Terra 41mm Silver dial
  • Longines Spirit Zulu Time Green bezel
  • Tudor Pelagos FXD

I tried seeing wtf was going on, so I can't unvote. But yeah, I'd be selling either lot. At least I get a white dial with Teddy.

Image , it's everything. I just can't get on with theirs. Probably got alot to do with them having been a sponsor if Ferrari F1 in the past.

Safe to say you’re not a member of the Tifosi?
If it’s F1 then I agree, neither am I, and I’m an Heuer man when it comes to racing. I’m also keen on the nautical aspect of the brand, which leads me onto:

I’m shamelessly on board with this. There are watches you like and would wear, and as the stylistic successor to the MDM Geneve the Classic Fusion is up there for me.

I love a mixed material integrated offering; I do rock this a fair bit:

Teddy's pretty much solely by virtue of the Bronze Oris

·

Teddy has a more well-rounded collection: a flagship dive watch, a retro gold watch, a fun chronograph, a blue dial sports watch, and a white dial sports/dress watch.

Kevin has some redundant pieces. 2 dive watches, and 2 watches with warm-colored cases (one gold and one bronze?). Then a pilot watch, and a blue dial sports watch. No watch with a white dial.

I have to go with Teddy's selection.

·

I am taking a minority side with Kevin's here.

I think I almost every watches in Kevin's are outstanding whereas Teddy's has only Longines and Oris that I can think of. 🤷🤷

If Kevin use his right on stealing Oris to his collection at the end then Teddy would surely be out of the competition

For guys that deal in high end watches, I guess $12500 for 5 watches is "affordable". I hate that term. Guys like me, this is far from "affordable". They're both very nice collections and indefinitely pick some of those for a $12500 collection. Just don't say "affordable".

·

I’m going with teddy because he has a sport watch, but Kevin’s collection is also awesome
