Seiko SRPE Salmon mod
I posted this watch lightly modded a few months back. I enjoyed the process of customizing a piece to make it my own but I still found myself not giving it the wrist time it deserved.
Salmon dials have been all the craze lately, and I can totally understand the allure of them. So when Uncle Seiko had this salmon dial in stock I couldn't resist. Getting the hands back on was the hardest part but overall, it was fairly straightforward process. In addition I also put on a US jubilee and I'm very pleased with the end result. It hasn't left my wrist for days and I'm glad I added some life to a piece that might have left my collection if I didn't.

Prior the the dial install I had replaced the crystal, crown and chapter ring. I'd say just the dial took about an hour or so with the hand install and using rodico to pick the dust/lint off the dial.

Dial was sourced from Uncle Seiko, chapter ring from Namoki mods

Part of the reason I went this route. I've accepted that I'll never get the Sarb037 unless I want to pay 3-4 grand. At that point there's much better options
