I actually turned down a Submariner for a Black Bay 58, simply because it suited my style. Tudor makes some stunning watches that lean towards my taste. I like the classic look to the BB58 and many others in the range, understated but gorgeous all the same. Whereas the Rolex seemed a bit garish and over the top for me. Each to their own I suppose, but Tudor really shouldn't be looked down on as a "poor person's" choice.
I had an AD take the piss out of my G-Shock 5610 (by the way, I love that watch) saying "Let's get you out that ... er ... "casio" and into a real watch.
