What's your ideal diameter for a everyday watch?

I have no idea. It depends. No two days are the same.

34mm. I think I wore 32mm today. But I'll vote 38 just to push things in the right direction. I think 38 is field watch full size, but it's the best option given.

33mm here for the comfort. Light enough to forget its there until i need the time. I'm still building a couple 38mm GMT's though and a 36mm to wear.

37mm - but in general smaller is better.

I tend to look at watches from any size to 38mm.

Depends on the watch. Lug to lug distance is also important as well as the height and distribution of the mass.

If you're choosing watches based on dimensions you're doing it wrong.

For me anything below 40 mm, preferably 38mm limit down to 34, mainly because I prefer a watch to be a “cherry on top” kind of addition rather than part of what I wear. And with what I normally wear a large watch (40mm - bigger) would seem out of place.

I think for me, the diameter is less important than the thickness. My "everday" is normally wearing a shirt at my work desk. So a thin watch that can slip under the cuff is often preferable to something thicker that doesn't.

But that also doesn't stop me wearing the thicker pieces from my assortment of watches.

36-39mm is ideal. For dress and sport watches, 36mm is perfection. The older I get, 36-38mm sings to me.

If I had my way, no watch would be over 39mm.

For vintage, 34mm is perfectly fine

Larger than 42mm really depends on the Watch and how it's sitting on the wrist. For example the Omega Planet Ocean with 43,5mm, doesn't feel and look larger than some 42mm Watches.

Smaller than 39mm the same, i need to see it first before i can judge it. Had a 37mm Seiko 5 and it sat comically small on my wrist. (and my Wrist is only 6,8 inches/173mm.)

Not to mention, width of bezel, color of dial and most probably the phase of the moon. 😉

This looks about right for a GADA daily driver.

Well mine's not on the list, but 42mm is my sweet spot with a 7.5 inch wrist

42-45mm

Generally 37mm and downwards, though I do own 2 watches that break that format at 42 & 46~48mm. Those being the space jam limited edition fossil and my old casio worldtimer.
