Fluted VS Plain bezel

Fluted bezel has, in my eyes, a problem. It all looks like a rolex thing. So I'd prefer a plain bezel.

I may have voted incorrectly. For a Datejust, of course you get a fluted bezel. Beyond that, I can't think of where I'd want one. Shirley everyone knows that they are a remnant of when the bezel was screwed on, and are just some vestigial decoration now.
I bought and sold a smooth bezel Datejust within 2 months because I realised what a difference the fluted makes.
Now back on the waitlist..

Fluted looks too "old Manish"& I'm a bloke over 50....
In person, the fluted bezel looks 1000% better than the smooth bezel. I reserved mine with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet.
