What is your most COMFORTABLE watch?

For me, much of what dictates whether I enjoy wearing a watch is the comfort. As much as I love big, heavy, rugged dive watches, I find that there’s a limit to how much I can wear them.

This usually means lighter, smaller watches and straps instead of bracelets. But it totally depends on my mood! Sometimes I’m willing to sacrifice a little comfort to achieve a certain look.

What about you?

Awesome! Citizen is a criminally underrated brand.

I was shocked I would like this Olympos so much. 37mm, 10mm thickness on an 8inch wrist.

I have two that are my most comfortable, and I cannot decide which is actually more comfortable, as they each have characteristics the other doesn't. The first is my original Rangemaster.

Image

The SARB-style case really hugs my wrist well. The 38mm case coupled with a 44.5mm lug-to-lug means this watch is a great size for my wrist, and the 10.4mm thickness slips easily under cuffs. On its Barton Watch Bands top grain leather strap, I sometimes forget it is on my wrist.

The other really comfortable watch is my Bertucci A-2TS Classic Field Solar on a Bertucci canvas strap.

Image

This is a titanium case watch, so it is really light, and on the canvas strap hardly weighs anything at all. This one is lighter than the Rangemaster, but it does not hug the wrist quite as well. I really cannot choose which is more comfortable.

I do have one honorable mention, a new addition to my collection, and one that is quite comfortable itself; my new Rangemaster Mechanical, pictured here on a canvas strap from Barton Watch Bands.

Beautiful! How does your GMT Master II wear? I’ve heard mixed reports on comfort when it comes to GMTs and Subs because of the slightly domed caseback.

For me it is very comfortable with its 40mm and the case does not feel very high

One of my most comfortable that comes to mind immediately. Great center of gravity and hugs my wrist.

Its like Im not wearing anything. Maybe a small bracelet. It is my designated sleep watch for that reason.

·

Most comfortable? Overall, for me it depends on,

  1. The kind of bracelet or strap it's on (material & design),

  2. The case dimensions/size and material used, and

  3. The kind of movement it has (mechanical or quartz).

#1 is wearing comfort, while #2 & 3 contribute to the weight. With that said, this is my most comfortable...

Only counting the original bracelet here since rubber and leather straps tend to be more comfortable than metal.

This…

And with a slight nod due to the fully articulated links and multiple point of adjustment clap, this…

I’ve tried this on a few times, and yes it was only for a few minutes but this was definitely the most comfortable watch I’ve ever put on my wrist. The other is the most comfortable watch that I own.

Agree that Lorier is great bc it's so light and thin. In the same vein, the moonswatch is great only if you change the strap! I put it on a flexible rubber strap

The Daytona is one of the best chronographs because of how thin and light it is. Probably the #1 underrated aspect of it. It's so wearable.

My Cartier Roadster is also super comfortable because it's thin and light.

A consistent theme coming through.

Is that the 36mm 124270? The small clasp and big bracelet taper seem like they would make it super comfortable.

Yes, I’m my 6.75 inch wrist. I’m 100% Team 36mm when it comes to Explorers!

That GS is a grail for me—either that one or the same model with the cream/ivory dial.

Me too, kind of. I want it, that or the cream dial with brown leather strap, but I think I’ll always wish I had the spring drive movement. It’s the same the other way (get a 44s spring drive then regret not getting the mechanical) but less so. Getting the evolution 9 with the manual wind spring drive would solve this problem but even at secondary prices it still the cost the same as getting both, and I can’t ever imagine spending 10K for a watch.

Apparently I'm the first poster in this thread that owns a Casio F-91W. My answer is the Casio F-91W.

Someone will come around and say that the resin band is uncomfortable in uncomfortable conditions. Well yes, I avoid those.

I use it as my dedicated chore watch because it stays comfortable in uncomfortable conditions.

I don’t think anything beats marine nationale straps as far as comfort goes but my most comfortable metal bracelet Watch is my titanium citizen. It’s never pulled a hair on my arm and it’s so lightweight I could forget it’s there until I need to check the time. Never getting rid of this thing.

I feel this—what do you rotate through?

Well, everthing that you see in my gallery.

Sometimes i want a diver.

Sometimes i want digital and then I choose between digital retro or digital tool-ish.

Something more colorfull.

Sometimes I want something mechanical.

Sometimes sporty...etc.

Will make you laugh, but brobably will go for my Swatch x Blancpain! The strap is very comfortable and it's a nice size and not too heavy!
