I got my wife a Nomos, she goes back to wearing her Apple Watch.

No. She owns nearly 30 but they're like jewellery. There are a few exceptions that she holds dear: 1990s DKNY white ceramic, Timex Snoopy, MoonSwatch Venus, VC Tank

The only time my girlfriend was ever interested in a watch was when I got my Seiko Presage sharp edge and she wanted something similar so I got her a 34mm Presage cocktail time which she likes a lot. But she ends up wearing her Casio A168 most of the time or her Apple watch.

I’d say she understands and appreciates I have something I enjoy and care about deeply - which is the most one can hope for from someone who doesn’t hold the same exact interests.

I was at my absolute happiest this past year when she asked me to go watch shopping with her for her birthday. After trying on many different watches from several different brands, and talking to her about all the different details and merits of each, she landed on dive watch that I myself had secretly been smitten to. It’s my favorite watch purchase to date - a gift I can tell she truly treasures and wears literally EVERYDAY. Anytime I see her wear it, I am so very happy and just a bit jealous 😂

I look at it like this. I can be a hard man to live with. I’m poor, ugly, fat, smell bad, and I treat her poorly. I figure if she can put up with that, then I can put up with her not being into watches.

No she doesn’t. However she doesn’t mind my obsession. I say she is supportive and ”approves” most of mine. I tried to give her some of mine but she wants small quartz.

No, but I've bought her a few mechanicals over the years that she wears every day. And she indulges my passion - hasn't objected to my ever-growing collection...yet. Plus after listening to be drone on about watches for years she knows more about them than she'll ever admit too 😂

My watch collection drives my Waite crazy. Oh well. Lol

We have a thing, it works. She supports and likes my hobby and she has her own watches I get for her.
