Pick your winner!

Which one would you pick? Entirely different watches but two models I adore.

Hamilton Murph 42mm ≈ 1200USD

Hamilton Panda Chrono (The exactamente model as in the picture) ≈ 2600USD

I know both watches are overpriced but that's the best deal I've gotten on a retail store (I'm not on the US so whatever money I can save on the price I would end up paying in taxes and shipping)...

The Murph

·

I'd go for the chrono, the Murph does nothing for me.

·

Murph

·

Hamilton panda chrono does it for me, classic timeless look.

·

Both are good, but I would (and have) picked the chrono.

Note, the Chrono can be had for about a grand if you go used and I have seen it as low as $1200. Same with the Murph though, I have seen that under $800 new.

·

Chrono. I like the dial contrast

·

Chrono all the way! While the Murph is a great looking pilots watch the chrono wins hands down.

·

ChronoGuy picks...the chrono, of course 😉

·

As much as I like the Murph, I have a Khaki already and it’s a bit similar. That said, I would pick the Chrono. I’ve tried that Chrono on and it looks spectacular. Hamilton did a really great job with it.

·

The chronograph. Only mechanical.

·

Both are wicked watches and I'd love to own both of them, but if forced put to chose only one, then it'd be The Murph ... because y'know Interstellar. I love good sci fi, which Interstellar is ... and parts of that movie were filmed in Okotoks, Alberta (Kanuckistan), where my daughter lived at the time 😀

·

Panda for sure.

·

Intramatic panda…but on mesh.

·

I will go for the panda chronograph too. The Murph is abit too plain for my liking.

·

Murph

·

I like both but Chrono for me

·

Of those options, the chrono.

·

I have the chrono myself

In retrospect I would get the mechanical version. The chrono sits high on the wrist and those extra mm make the difference

·

Murph (though I don't own one yet).

I passed on the Intra-Matic (it was a difficult choice) and went with the Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pioneer Mechanical Chrono. Not a popular model and the discount reflected as much. It ticks boxes for me -- RAF heritage, asymmetrical design, manual movement, 60 hour power reserve, etc.

I like these 2 watches and had considered getting them before (though eventually i didn't get them till now) i still like them and may still get them 1 day. But i think the murph stands out a little bit more for me.

Hamilton chrono though sounds like something more useful, but do we really need that nowadays? And i've seen it in the flesh and the strap looks cheap; though i know the price may justify that, i would prefer a better looking strap.

·

Panda Chrono for me. Absolutely stunning.

Murph is a good piece, just a little tame compared to the Panda.

·

Chrono.... But skip the hammy and get a Hanhart

Chrono.... But skip the hammy and get a Hanhart

Why?

Why?

I just find it more interesting

don't see the brand often

Hanhart is terrific but way different look. The models I researched are bolder than the Hamilton and hew closely to their tool and military origins. This limits versatility for many. The panda is sleeker and I would say more versatile particularly if your thinking about work or less casual situations.

You can’t go wrong either way imo. Here’s my Hanhart

i found a 417 bronze edition that looks phenomenal... pricey though

Emi I would have to go with the Murph in this scenario to be honest. I would how ever would need to change the strap asap. Possibly with a ostrich strap like how I have on my Bambino. Plus I’m saving some coin but even if money was no object I would be still sticking with the Murph.

·

Intra-matic, any day.
