Does it ever get awkward taking a WRUW photo in public?

A couple weeks ago I had just taken a WRUW shot outside of a Panda Express. When I turned around there was a table of people frozen mid-bite, staring at me.

Have you had any weird reactions? Or the best, made a new friend and was late getting back to work because you talked for 45 minutes? Just asking… for a friend.

I guess ya, but then I’m pretty weird looking and I dress funny so they cancel each other out 🤪

...I think 🤔

Even worse if my wife is with me. The look of disappointment on her face is crippling 😂

Have you ever made your wife be in a WRUW? I did. Once...

If the person next to me wants to stare then I guess they have nothing else to do so enjoy the show.

Shhh. She doesn't know 😉

I'm not important enough to be noticed.

·

I try not to draw attention to myself and my watch in public.

·

I'm sure my coworkers were wondering why I was standing out in the rain taking photos of the hood of my car today.

Yea, one time I had a hold family staring at me at a red light 😁

LOL great poll 😜

·

leveled up my stealth skills taking wruw posts😂

I just don't care if people see me taking pictures of my wrist. Nobody knows me and the probability of seeing potential onlookers again is very small.

·

No shame here. It’s not any worse than people dancing in public parks for their TikTok videos. Shoot, there was a girl filming a video IN the convenience store by my house just the other day. Not an employee, just some random person dancing for TikTok lol

·

I do not take wruw posts where other people can see me (I haven't gotten that weird yet). I don't do wruw posts that often in the first place.

My mates at work were like “stooop with the camera snap sound!!!” 🤣🤣🤣 so I just put the phone on silent and continued peacefully 😇

If I want to take photos of a watch I wear it walking my dog- I bring him to a big field where I can go nuts without anybody seeing me lol

When I used to do it often I try and do it when I know I’m in the clear. And when I’m at work I make sure my bosses aren’t around. I mean both just got fired so I’m going to do it more often now (we have cool cars!) but I still make sure there is no one around me. I don’t like being observed!

You bet’cha

Even if I did, I wouldn't care. It wasn't like I was picking my nose or anything remotely close. 😁

·

Wrist shot? It's a whole fashion show.....

I've learned not to care. I love taking the shots, and sharing them with you weirdos ❤️ the watches are for me, and me alone. No need to feel awkward about enjoying something, as long as I'm not hindering or harming someone. The other day I got myself sat down at the cafe, found a table with some great natural light, and took 30 mins to open and unpack my new watch. And then take a load of pictures for a new post and for wruw! 😁

At 34, I am anti social media (WC is the only one I visit, FB deleted years ago, never used IG, SC and TikTok), so I only make sure my wife don't see me taking "wrist-pic's", it is already hard to explain her why in period of 3 years I got 4 watched (third one I said that I won at the tournament 😅).

Hahah, yeah, if I ever get looks I just reply with "I just need to prove my alibi"

·

Nope. If people can take photos of their food for Instagram you can a WRUW in public.
