GMT placement

What’s the significance or purpose of your GMT setting? (I have mine set to Japan because that’s where I’d like to visit next.)

I have mine set to Hawaii time. Reminds me of all the good memories and not to go too long before visiting again.

·

I actually set mine to GMT, or Zulu Time, for work 😂

·

Both are set to local time, waiting to travel so I can quick jump the hour hand!

·

Mine's set to London/GMT time for work and to remind me the wife is going to Europe without me later this year. 😠

I have mine on GMT+1 mainly because that’s what most of Europe uses

·

I have mine set to Zulu time for work.

·

Live on the east coast, it's set to west coast time

·

Mine's set to the time in Belfast, where my wife's family lives.

·

I switch back and forth between Pacific and British time, depending if I'm in British Columbia or in Great Britain. Right now, the GMT hand is normally pointing to the time in the UK.

·

I usually have mine set to Eastern time. I live in Indiana in one of the few counties in Central time and work for a statewide organization. Even though it is only an hour, it helps me be on time for meetings in Indianapolis.

·

I have my explorer II set to the same time but on the 24 hour scale like it was originally designed for

·

When I was stationed Japan, it was set to US time.( I wish I had a rotating bezel like the Glycine Airman GMT for the timezone changes at sea.)

·

On my Tudor GMT, I have it match local time until I travel. However, on my Montblanc Geosphere, it’s on London.

·

Cologne where my dad lives

·

I set my dial to my home time, and the GMT hand to UTC since I deal with log files that are in that format.

·

I just keep it on local time unless I’m traveling. All my work and family are local, so no need to track another time zone.

·

I set the other time on the casio to Thailand 🇹🇭 local time for my wife’s sake when talking to her mother and family.

·

CET (Central European Time, UTC+1) because this is where most of the people with whom we are doing business are located.

On GMT watches that can track 3 time zones, like my Airman No. 1, I set the third time zone to UTC.

·

I have one GMT watch and I've never set it to any time zone. I've found once I've worked out the time difference I know the time difference and therefore don't need a watch to tell me the time difference. 🤔

·

Have mine on NYC time as that's where my best mate lives. A caller GMT used for that specific purpose. As I live in the UK and don't travel as much as I used to, don't have much need for a true GMT.

·

Mine is set to GMT always. I use the bezel to quickly work out times of the offices for work, or Japan for the mother in law.

Then when I travel, it’s already home time or can be off set to BST if it’s summer again with the bezel, and there’s the jumping hour hand for local 🏝️

Perfect watch really! 🎉

·

I have it set to either GMT or AOE (anywhere on earth) for work.

·

Like @skxcellent, I set mine to GMT. If I'm travelling, set to my home time.

·

I'm in the UK so we are currently in GMT until spring, I just leave mine set to GMT because I think its cool to have a 24hr time scale.

·

Coworkers in India. Still gotta remember to add a half-hour though.

·

Traveller kept on uk time for when I travel. Caller set to EST as I work with a lot of folk in NYC

·

This one is set to British summer time because I can’t be bothered to change it

I set mine to local hour and the GMT hand marks Jerusalem time ( Jesus time) as a remainder for my prayers and being thankful to my Lord.

·

I have family in Taiwan, so it is used to figure out when not to call them while they sleep. Lame excuse to own one of course.

·

Set to GMT-10, Hawaii. That’s where I’m from, grew up, have family and consider home. Lived all over the US mostly EST and CST and Germany for a bit. All my GMT’s are set that way.
