I would choose something that requires zero maintenance and is unlikely to break. It would be tragic to have to wear a watch on your wrist "for the rest of your life" that no longer tells the time.
So I'm going with my Citizen Promaster Tough. A 300 metre water resistant titanium case combined with a solar powered Eco-Drive movement hopefully provides a chance the watch will still be functioning, once my application to pass the Pearly Gates has been rejected by St. Peter.
This article is riddled with inaccuracies.
Overseas visitors to the UK can still continue get their 20% VAT refund, providing their watch (and other purchases) is shipped, unworn or unused, by the store directly to the customer’s home in their country of residence. The VAT is removed at the point of purchase.
And Switzerland is not a member of the European Union.
I've used a cell phone SIM removal tool and the pin that affixes your poppy to your clothes (those from Commonwealth countries will understand the poppy reference).
