New Watch Day!
So much for that whole "I'm not buying any more expensive watches for a couple of years" thing. We're shopping at the Somerset Collection mall in Troy, Michigan, for MY WIFE'S BIRTHDAY, and I'm going home with this. :) I love this watch, though, and they just got this one in. The Breitling boutique is relatively new here, and this is the first time we've seen it. I just HAD to check it out....
Don't feel too sorry for my wife, though. She's going home with a pair of Christian Louboutin boots.

I am going to say that you still came out ahead unless you spent the entire time by your wife’s side shopping for the Louboutin boots. I was compelled to spend an agonizing afternoon with my wife buying a pair of Dior combat boots, she still had energy to look for a cross body purse, I just handed over my credit card, reminded her the code was the year we got married. Speaking honestly despite the highway robber prices of lady’s luxury goods, a great pair of boots is still less than a medium price Longines much less than an Omega SMP watch on bracelet. My conclusion is that watches are overpriced. Great watch, love the Breitling brand, visiting my regular ad next week.

It's OK. I think it's comparable to what my Grand Seiko SBGA493 came in, but that watch also cost $2,750 less. Neither of them comes close to the packaging my Bulgari Octo Finissimo came in. That box is freaking amazing. Then again, the watch was $12,000.

Exactly. I kept my Bulgari in its own box for years, and only just recently put it away to make room. In wanting to learn more about Breitling and this watch, I just saw a video last night about the packaging it came in, and now I like it even more. I didn't catch on to the fact that the "pillow" it's wrapped around doubles as a carrying case. I need to check that out.

She doesn't mind much. Her take on it is that she doesn't much care if I'm the one paying for it. She practically told me to buy the watch when she saw the green dial and heard the sales associate say, "pistachio". :)

"I'm not buying anymore" this mantra I hv tried so many times ... The result usually is the opposite .. next time try - "I will keep buy more and more" , I used this technique a lot to my patients, I called reverse psychology ... However I forgot to do the follow up
