I currently have 3 dive watches in my little collection (all Seiko Prospex models) so I'm pretty dived out. It'll be a long time before I get another one. That being said, they've definitely been my favorite style of watch thus far.
I started my watch journey with Dress watch. It is something that I proud of wearing it to work.
However, I normally wear my diver as a beater watch, the one I can bring to any situation without worrying of scratching the polish surface, or moisture when it's rain. I must admit, Diver watch has grown on me.
So maybe both, or I will try the field/pilot watch then I might have a better answer then 😜😜
what is a sport watch? I see the category and the watches in the category but they look like field watches with less numerals. would divers be considered sport?

I have all of the above in my collection but my first love will always be my divers. Diving was the reason for me to have a watch in the first place.
LCD digital 🤓
All of the above and a few more.
I like watches.
Always have,always will.
It's like asking my favorite dessert, the answer is "yes".

Dress watch, aka the normal watch for normal people.
Field watches are okay if you don't mind the dark dials. Pilot watches are too big.
Chronographs are almost always ugly and busy, and superfluous to boot.
Dive watches are too big in all directions and the bezels eat shirt cuffs.
I wish GADA was a category. I don't think of my Aqua Terra as a dress watch, but it certainly doesn't fit in any of the other categories either.
Would "Sports" watch be a category?

GADA/Sports watch should be a category, and it doesn't get better than the Aqua Terra.
