Right around the same time this limited-edition Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Compression 53 released, I had just transitioned into a corporate role after being in beverage consulting for just shy of a decade.
The neon green was the same coloring as my personal marketing material that I love and I wanted to gift myself something for taking on a new position.
To this day, I’ll never forget all the hours of YouTube videos I’ve watched and the articles I’ve read from Hodinkee, Teddy, Watch Chris, and of course Watch Crunch. It all started with this [ZO9279].
And now I have all of you to blame for this ridiculous obsession with wrist wearables as we are all here instigating the obsession even further.
I have no complaints though. 😎

Love that Zodiac. Wear it in good health.
i have yet to make my first luxury purchase but i'm quite sure it'll be a Longines
Mine was my Raymond Weil Freelancer GMT Worldtimer.
Love that Zodiac by the way👍.
Mine was a Rolex OP. That is an awesome Zodiac!
My first was the Black Bay 58. It’s still one of my absolute favorite watches.
Absolutely gorgeous😍
Mine was a Rolex OP in the late 90s. Didn't enjoy it and sold it within a year, and I've yet to buy another from the brand. It took a few years to invest again and that was a pre-moon Speedy, which I've only recently let go.
I’m a huge Zodiac fan. That green looks fresh!
The Grand Seiko SBGA413 was my first, and so far my only, luxury watch purchase. That Zodiac is a stunner! 💚
Grand seiko sbgx055, a watch I regret selling to this day...
Very sporty and cool 😎 nice 👍🏼
If I can find the pic. Omega Seamaster solid gold dress watch, late '70s-early '90s.
Purchasing myself was a Breitling SuperOcean. My first luxury was was a Rolex Date, but it was a gift.
Nailed
Mine was a Tag Heure F1 quartz, didn't understand automatics at the time
Color scheme on this is killer. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼
I love those Zodiacs. I’m eyeing the blue dial powder blue bezel as my next dive watch.
The Blue one is an incredible look, especially with jeans on. 🥂
In 1987 I bought a omega divlle to celebrate finishing my apprenticeship
I wore it daily for years it was my pride and joy.
In 2000 my youngest daughter was playing with it and threw it out the window and my wife ran it over with a lawn mower 😫
She replaced it with a speedmaster but I spent 20 years looking for a replacement until I eventually found this one in Japan.
Now my wife wears this one every day, as it deserves to be worn 😍
What an awesome story Steve! 😂 I literally can’t fathom a situation I’d be in to get a watch tossed under a lawn mower. I appreciate the chuckle.
This is a beautiful, beautiful piece and I’m glad you found a replacement to something so sentimental. 💪🏼
Welcome aboard! Glad to have on the bus and my 🍉loves the company!
This is such an awesome color scheme they went with on this piece. #zodiacsquad 🥂
Loving the mid-work wrist shot. Loving even more that timepiece! I can’t imagine a different watch for you to be wearing. 💪🏼
That picture makes it look like you're about to fall over.
First Lux was my Longines Spirit Zulu Time
I’ll work on a better edit for next time. 👏🏼
I’m seriously considering Longine for my next purchase. In battle between them, Ball, or a King Seiko. 🤷🏻♂️
This was my first luxury purchase, it’s not getting a lot of wrist time at the moment but will never be sold. I wear it more in the summer as I kind of connect it to my classic car, no idea why! But I guess it’s the same as summer watches 🙄
That’s a great connection for you to have made with your car and watch. I have a similar feeling with my GMT from Zodiac and my car as well. Cheers. 🥂

Yessir!
My first Luxury watch was my Tudor Royal, which I bought to commemorate making Partner in my firm
That’s an epic bezel on there! Not sure why this is the first time I’m seeing this model from Tudor but thank you for sharing! 🙏🏼
Always wanted this special #zodiac model bud light lime BUT my ol' lady thinks other wise lol. Looking great on your wrist 👍
I appreciate it Franks! 🙏🏼

Thanks it certainly has a story to tell 😊

I love it! One of my most comfortable watches, with that slim case and great integrated bracelet that drapes down nicely 👍🏻
Mine was the OMEGA Aqua Terra
My first luxury watch was an Oris Big Crown Pointer Date that I got for my 49th birthday in 2020. A few months later I made partner at my firm and got an Omega Aqua Terra. Still today the two most worn watches in my collection. But bought so close together, they are essentially both of my “first” forays into luxury.
A perfect match, I love that you perfectly matched your sweater with your watch 😎
