Timex 10-Watch Collection

Greetings, fellow crunchers! It’s time to reveal the majority of my precious horological treasures, now that I’ve maxed out one of my watch boxes!

If you don't know already, I'm a HUGE Timex fan. I’ve been loyal to them since my high school days. Why? Because they are simple, elegant, and timeless. No pun intended. They are also one of the oldest and most iconic watch brands in the world, and proudly American. "Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin," is such a fun slogan and couldn't agree more with how my watches have held up.

Some people have a love-hate relationship with Timex, but I don’t get it. They are affordable, reliable, and versatile. I can honestly say that I love them as much as, or even more than, my other fancy watches from Zodiac and Rolex. Don’t judge me.

Alright, enough chit-chat. Let’s get to the good stuff:

Image

Timex TW2U72000VQ - This watch is a double edged sword for me. I bought it to fill my wants for a green watch and while I agree it does fit that bill, it just looks cheaper than the rest of the Timex watches I have. For some reason though, everytime I wear it, I fall in love with it again and again. Not to mention, I've had MANY people assume it was a Rolex "hulk." This watch will forever be in my collection as it was the watch I wore when I eloped with my wife and about 40 of our friends at the International Rose Garden in Portland, OR.

Image

Timex TW2W14800VQ - One of the latest additions to the Timex box, this puppy really hits the mark for me as far as a casual field watch goes. I wanted a field watch with a bit more elegance to it as this isn't something I'd necessarily go on a hike with but rather wear in my casual attire on a comfy leather nato. The raised indices also give this a more premium feel.

Image

Timex TW2V42400VQ - This incredible chronograph has been worn tremendously, especially at the gym! When I got the email from Timex that they dropped this on their website, I bought it immediately. I love the three colorful chrono dials that match plenty of my workout clothes and it's just a fun eye-catcher that I'd say, consistently gets compliments.

Image

Timex T2N080 - I was searching all over the interwebs to find a proper moon phase watch from Timex and believe it or not, this woman's watch couldn't have been a better find. Would you be able to tell it was a woman's watch if I didn't say so? I picked this up for $30 brand new on eBay and I'd honestly say this watch is almost a tie-breaker for most wrist time among ALL of my watches. The thin profile, day/date dials, and the moon phase just look beautiful on my 6.5" wrist.

Image

Timex T2N153 - My most recent purchase is this gorgeous chronograph with tri-colored hands on the chrono dials. I've had my eye on this one for a while but for some reason hadn't pulled the trigger on it yet. It's a 43mm which is really the biggest I'd wear but the short lugs give it a snug fit on my wrists. This has been my favorite daily so far and it really gives me "speedy" vibes based on the shape.

Image

Timex TW2R26700 - Simple and subtle, this was the first watch I bought for myself as an adult from the Macys on 34th St in Manhattan, shortly after I moved there at 21 years old for a job. I wear this on a red, white, and blue NATO as a homage to my college FAU that I dropped out of at senior to make the move to the big apple. Best decision of my life.

Image

Timex Mickey Mouse x BEAMS - My wife and I love Disney world and no, it's not weird for adults to enjoy one the best parks in the world. I was searching for a Mickey watch for weeks before I finally stumbled upon this watch, only sold in Japan. I've now worn it twice just for our trips to the Magic Kingdom and I can't wait to wear it more.

Image

Timex TW2T56700 - A close second for most wrist time, this is a perfect watch in my opinion. I was looking for a world-time watch that could be used for both the outdoors and the gym while still having a beautiful look to it. I picked this up from the Wind Up Watch Shop and the cream colored dial and the 6-9-12 numbers just speak to me. Not to mention, the lume on this is very bright.

Image

Timex TW2W22600VQ - This is a watch that I'm surprised has little to no exposure online from reviews to YouTube videos. This is a newer release to the Timex lineup that fit's my need for a GMT while also rocking the "Batman" vibes. It's a 39mm which fits my wrist perfectly and I constantly switch this from the bracelet to a baby blue tropic strap that always getting attention when I wear it.

Image

Timex T2N245T8 - Last but certainly not least, this is my gym watch that also rocks my favorite color, neon green. I've never been a fan of G-Shocks but when I found this jumbo T80, in my favorite color no less, I had to jump on it. I've swam with this, ran over 100 miles with this, and rock climbed with it. It's been a joy to wear and while it doesn't have any of the "shock" features or durability claims of other G-Shock watches, it's been rock solid for me.

xxx

I hope you all enjoy this collection of Timex as much as I do and I can't wait to read and see all of your comments and opinions down below.

If I had one question to ask, this would be it: If I had to get rid of all 10 of these to purchase one watch to replace them all, what would that watch be? I'm talking in the $1k - $2k range.

I respect it.

Appreciate it 🙏🏼

Nice, I love Timex too, and have several, including your TW2R26700. Love the Indiglo on that one! 🔵

·

Hi, that is a really great collection, quite individual love it 👌

·

Love your collection! Speaks to those of us who want to collect, enjoy the hobby, and not/ can’t/won’t spend 4,5,or 6 digits on a watch.👍👏

·

Great collection 👍👍

·

I appreciate your passion for the brand. Great collection thanks for sharing

·

Stunning collection, love the variety and versatility of each watch you have 👌👌👍👍

Fantastic Timex collection!

That moonphase in particular is surprising. I appreciate that Timex does better than most brands at making adult women's watches. Too many "women's" watches look like bedazzled dress-up toys for little girls. Timex gets it right more often than not.

That field watch is another banger! Clean cut and simple. The Waterbury line is Timex's best collection, imo.

Awesome to see the love shared for Timex! One of my favorite brands, alongside Casio. And they make some of my favorite watches of all time.

Between Casio and Timex you could easily build a practical, good-looking collection that covers all the bases for a couple hundred bucks. What's not to love?

·

Great brand, congrats, nice set up!

·

Wow! What an amazing Timex Collection. If you ever are around Staten Island, New York, you will get free admission to my Timex museum.

  1. As far as a $1,000 watch, I would get the Timex Galli S2. It is $975 and really a stunning watch.

Nice collection. You'll need another box soon. 🍻

Very nice. If they had longer/bigger straps/bracellets…. 👀

What’s not to love is exactly right! I swear this moonphase watch at 36mm is like the perfect size and I can wear it with anything. I also agree with you on the Waterbury collection, they are def the more high end without breaking the bank. Thanks for the kind words, sir!

Tons of great models available, especially older ones you can get great deals on that have a ton to offer. Thanks my guy. 💪🏼

I’m glad other people abuse this hobby too. 👏🏼

Very nice. If they had longer/bigger straps/bracellets…. 👀

You are right about that. Their branded NATO straps are not long enough and I’d say half of the time, the bracelets never fit my 6.5” wrist just right even when I adjust the links.

·

I see your collection and raise you The Timex Marlin chronograph, or really any Marlin. Absolutely stunning pieces!

Not to mention the Q Chrono, and some of their other great pieces.

·

Great collection, Yanci. I especially like the Archive NaviWorldTimer (TW2T56700) and the ladies Moonphase. Would you mind telling me what size that is.

Can we presume there is space in the bottom drawer of your box to enlarge the collection? 🤓

Thank you, sir! Both are 38mm, a perfect size for a 6.5" - 7" wrist in my opinion. Bottom of for straps and jewelry and sunglasses.

·

38mm is sweet 👍🏻

Absolutely love this collection! My wife and I are fellow Disney adults and haven’t seen that Timex before! Time to Google it 😂.

·

Awesome well respected collection.

It was one I hadn't seen before either. I got it used on eBay from someone in Japan.
