I like that idea! Although, for me that won't quite work as for some reason having a house with a dog, a cat, a toddler, and carpets means there's lots of dust! Even after a day or two I'd usually have to give the watch box a wee dusting. So having the watches out in the open like that would make THEM dusty! 😂 Very much first world problems!
We shall find out how this works out for me then! 😄 I was planning on having them all still on display, and simply having the 3-watch box front and centre. So I'd still get to see all of them, but it might making choosing one that particular day or week a little easier?
Who knows! Eventually I'll have to do as you, and simply make my peace with whatever way my watch-philosophy evolves and changes into!
My friend, I'm going to bow out of this one. You've asked a question, and I've given an answer and my reason for it. Unlike your flying horse, my answer can be looked up, verified, and checked on Google.
You have set the parameters for your query, and if you don't like my answer to it, that's fine. I'm busy at work now, and have spent part of my break giving you the basic info that you could use. I've named specific models to make comparisons with. If you don't want to, that's OK. But I'm bowing out, have a fantastic day! 🤝
Mate, like I've said I'm not your personal Google search assistant 🤣. I really recommend looking at Orient as an answer to your question. Choose a couple watches, like I mentioned their new solar chronographs go head to head and I reckon Orient still wins out. Hope you find what you're looking for! 😁
No problem mate. Except I'm busy getting ready for the day, getting my toddler fed, and more importantly I'm not your personal web browser. Go look up Orient. They're a brilliant brand, and would fit within your criteria for what you wanted. 😁
OK, then just go to their website and compare like for like. They've released a Mako Chrono that is in the same category as the Seiko Speedtimer. Except you won't pay Speedtimer prices for it. And again, same or better specs for a lower price. My point is the same, if those are the variables you truly value, then just go with it. You do you. I totally understand wanting to stick with in-house movements. To me that isn't important, so I see Seiko as too expensive. If other brands are able to use a Seiko movement but provide a legitimately better watch for a lower price, then Seiko needs to do better. (Again, just my two cents 🤝)
